Igor Andreev

I haven't seen any thread for Igor yet, and he just broke into the top 100 recently.

Any information on this 20-year-old? Any pics? Thanks.

Re: Igor Andreev

He is from Moscow, he went to Spain as a youngster just like Safin. I am not sure if he trained with Mensua as well. I think he did I am not sure.

He speaks Russian, Spanish and English fluently and had an excellent record in the challengers and beat Davydenko and Schalken last year on the main tour.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Igor Andreev

Thanks, George

Saw that he lost in 5 sets to a French qualifier. Looks like maybe the heat and conditioning did him in? Those last two sets were give-mes.

His hair is exactly the same colour as mine and he is one of my faves. Unfortunately he's in a bit of a slump so far this year.

Re: Igor Andreev

He just needs to get back on the clay and play some challengers, though he should be able to make IW.

Nobody can actually understand Russians. It's difficult. You can, but it's difficult, right?

The mentality of Russians, it's very strange. Actually, very strong on the court. We know what we want and we fight.

I'm not like American. I have my own picture on wall.

Re: Igor Andreev

Hello, Angel! Thanks for all pics!

It seems that Igor doesn't play his best tennis... (sigh), but I'm sure he can improve!

Go Igor! Go Max!!

Re: Igor Andreev

I can't believe it!!! I'm soooo happy!!!!!!! Igor won against Ferrero at Roland Garros.
He played really very well from the begginning!!! It was great...
He will now face the french Julien Benneteau in the 3rd round!!!

Re: Igor Andreev

Yeah! I can't believe, too I'm very-very happy!!! But I'll be even more happy if Igor finally write me an e-mail

I think Julien Benneteau will be a tough opponent. He plays very well this week. In the 1st Round of Roland Garros he defeated Max Mirnyi.

Angel, have you seen Igor's match? I hoped that Russian sport channel would broadcast it, but it prefered to show Marat' match
I found some pictures of Igor from the 2nd round match. I'll add them on site on Friday.

Go Igor! We believe in you!!!
