Re: Fabio Fognini - The Hope of Italy

Russell is a difficult enough opponent on these courts. I think Fabio will lose, but it would be good if he can reproduce his Montreal? Hard court form from last year where he defeated 4 people (2 qualifying and 2 main draw).

All Italian Players

Especially Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini

Juan Martin Del Potro

Roger Federer

Thomas Berdych

Fernando Verdasco

Re: Fabio Fognini - The Hope of Italy

and win

7-6(0) 6-2

could have closed the first set quicker had he converted one of those many BPs

now plays the winner of Marrero-Garcia
has a very good draw and can even make semis

Re: Fabio Fognini - The Hope of Italy

and into the quarters we go

6-4 6-7 6-3

more difficult than expected, he started well going 5-1 but then didnt dominate despite having many chances

next is Santiago Ventura who beat Roitman in 3d set TB, another winnable match

last year in Montevideo Fabio lost 6-0 6-2 to Ventura
