Sorry, Santi. I read this 20 years ago in high school, and I didn't care for it at all. His storytelling technique is too complicated....kind of like a male Toni Morrison.

Re: Which book do you currently read?

I've been reading this off and on for a few months, it took me a weekend to get through half of it, but school keeps getting in my way of finishing it

Born to Rule: Five Reigning Consorts, Granddaughters of Queen Victoria by Julia P. Gelardi

It's a really good book

Re: Which book do you currently read?

I don't really enjoy fiction that much. I just finished an interesting book:

Yiddish Civilisation
The Rise and Fall of a Forgotten Nation

Many things, I didn't know.

Read that one a while back. Probably didn't get half of the references

It was decent enough though...

Yeah I'm not getting all the references myself but I am enjoying it. One thing that annoys me is that whenever she mentions a book she has to include the author, edition and year it came out. Kind of annoying and doesn't add that much to the book for me.
