I recomend Panos Karnezis's The Maze. It's actually set in the Greco-Turkish war just after WWI. If you're interested in the Balkan action in WWI, this would be good for ya.

(I just realized, I've recommended this twice, now)

I think there will be a spike in interest in WWI, as the last few veterans die, and as the 100th aniversary approaches.

There are currently 46 verified WWI veterans still alive.

I'm reading Winston Churchill's volume on WWI. It's a bit dry and very British, but the war hasn't started, yet, so I hope it will pick up.

Re: Which book do you currently read?

Just finished "The Other Boleyn Girl" . Great read for anyone who enjoys Tudor England and Henry viii . It makes me want to read more of Philippa Gregory. Thanks for all the book ideas...love to read when I can, esp. when there's a lull in tennis action.

My reaction? It's not the language; I just don't care for it.
