A Season With Verona: Travels Around Italy in Search of Illusions, National Character and Goals.

Tim Parks travelled with the fans of Hellas Verona for a season and made of every matchday a chapter, where he connects the pure football match with a cultural view on the Italians, the inhabitants of Verona and the fans of the giallo-blù in particular.

It's always fun reading about guilt, and self-righteous, judgmental people. Letting the good times roll again with Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment.

I absolutely loved Crime and Punishment. I'm a slow reader (among other reasons, because I read a lot for work and have little time left to read for pleasure...) and yet I read this one in about a week or so.

At the moment, I'm reading Pillars of the Earth. I've been reading it for a while now, because it's such a big book... So far I really love it.
I knew the story because I had seen the series, which was great. But of course the book has far more character development and a lot more room to develop the story as well. It's one of the few books in which I love almost every single character. Amazing stuff.

Re: Which book do you currently read?

This is the first time since a long time that i'm not reading anything.
I have some cool stuff to begin. I'd probably start with "The Long Walk" from Stephen King.
That seems like hardcore stuff
