Yikes! I had digestive tract surgery a few years ago, so couldn't eat for about 3 weeks either but I'm sure the hospital will give you advice on what you can have to make you feel OK without eating. It's boring but not as bad you might expect.

Good luck! I'll be sending virtual hugs.
Thanks Jane

My operation is on Wednesday and I've got an 8 a.m appointement with my doctor on Tuesday so I'm sure he'll let me know what I should/shouldn't do but thanks for the info cuz you never know what he might forget to tell me

You just need to ask drs a lot of questions to get all the info you need, I think. They must see a lot of people and I think they just forget things sometimes! But I'm sure you'll be fine.

Yes I'm glad we're more interesting than a wall - or a guy with a machine gun, LOL.

Looks like Lleyton is playing pretty well for the start of the season. Woohoo! Actually, that reminds me to make an Aussie Open sig.

I'm planning on asking every question I can possibly think of, operation related and not I'm intent on finding out if the hospital has internet access

Good plan, Angele. If you were a little closer I'd drop by with a laptop! I would think most hospitals do have patient access somewhere nowadays -although it might get crowded!

I'm sure there won't be any but I'll be kicking myself if I find out in 2 months that there actually was internet access It would make my hospital stay so much more pleasant if I could get online and at least see pics from the lleyki doubles match!

Friday, Saturday or Sunday I'm crossing my fingers for Friday but it'll probably be Saturday. The last time I talked to my doctors, they said I'd have to stay in the hospital 3 or 4 nights. The letter I got though said 2 or 3 nights so I'm assuming that it's gonna be 3 nights.

Definitely decide along with the doctors and nurses when you should go home. You don't want to hang around, obviously, but you should definitely not leave before you're ready.
