To hell with singles for now.. might not play a singles match the rest of the year unless I can sneak into qualifying.

I thought about this and I could have just played challengers to improve my singles but then my current doubles ranking would be wasted on max 90 point tournaments.
That was the same problem I had at the end of last year/most of this year - ranked Top 10 in doubles but not in the Top 100 in singles, so like you the singles ranking got sacrificed a bit. Guaranteed seeding in the ATP's but not even make quallies in singles.

Castle

Another slightly frustrating TT start for me. Not that any matches are played yet. But after serious deliberation I landed on a player to win the key match, only to have to hope for the other one to win....my singles opponent has the same man, as do both our doubles opponents, but not my partner....

Yeah that was a tough one in TF - know him so well and we both know each other's way of sending, it becomes a case of guess what the opponent will pick

I've been at work for 1½ hours. First half hour busy, then a calm hour, will soon be busy again. Suits me fine.

I'm going to be bored today, it's going to seem like a long one - not much going on at work so it's going to be quiet and I'm not managing an event.

I'll make a start by tidying the stationary cupboard

We've got a few site visitors tomorrow - personnel people coming over as they're doing promotion interviews (for engineers not me) - got to book them into a hotel for tomorrow night.

Theres a few bits of finance stuff to do and a site meeting later on, but it's not much to spread out all day long.

The trouble is when it's hours - you run out of sites to look at.

Good thing you have something. I agree, if you're looking to kill hours time will pass slowly...Perhaps a mild catastrophe eminently suited for your problem-solving capacities will appear, you never know
