Every time you think Hughton is about to be sacked, he gets a result. You need to pick up points in the next few games because of the brutal run-in you have.
Final question: if Norwich were to build a new stadium, what capacity should it be? You never see any empty seats at your ground and I assume the demand for tights in quite high.
We need to win on Saturday because our record against Fulham is absolutely atrocious. I've never been in the "Hughton out" camp because I'm generally an optimist and have at no point thought we "will" get relegated - though that will change if we don't beat West Brom.
Regarding a new stadium; won't happen. There were cautious plans a few years ago but significant money has gone into rebuilding Carrow Road since then. There is a proposal to knock down one stand and rebuild it to boost our capacity to 35,000
. I imagine that would be the capacity of a hypothetical new stadium too.
I'm not a fan of this, in part because I sit in the stand in they propose to knock down and the corner of it is probably the best place for atmosphere in our ground. Secondly, I think the demand to fill a 35,000 ground only lasts as long as we're in the Premier League - and realistically we'll go down again at some point in the not too distant future.
We sold out in the Championship and League One but I think that's because our capacity was just right for the size of our fanbase. I think we could fill 30,000 but as a fan rather than a director I prefer to see a full stadium rather than sell more tickets.
Of course if ticket prices come down and/or a standing area is built all bets are off... thought I imagine that's a distant dream...
