who agreed ? Barca fans ? I have more than few friends who are Barca tards and they agreed it was done much more damage to Madrid than to Barca . Interesting how all of you ignore Busquets foot on Pepe's head, that deserved jail, not red card, so Barca should have been with 10 man from 35th minute .

My point from the beginning was to point out that Mallenco shouldn't have been ref at this match, specially after that obvious mistake in first Clasico, again against Madrid. Don't know do you know but he is first ref in history of Clasico's who was main ref in both Clasico's in one season and with that mistake from first match obviously shouldn't have been, so from beginning "higher forces" were involved in this match.

Also it's interesting that both times this season Madrid had a chance to make decisive points difference against Barca they got robbed for red card. It happened in Bilbao and it happened yesterday. Too many accidentals to be accidental

Liverpool fans are behind Manchester United tonight, they better not disappoint. Or rather, they better surprise everyone and not lose.

I am a United fan but I cannot be bitter if Liverpool win the league. At the end of the day they have played solid Football this season and would deserve the league title. Rather than being bitter about the scousers our fans should support us as we fight to qt least make the second tier of Europe...

Re: Football zone vol 6

I'd prefer it if Arsenal won the league this year, them being the lesser of 4 evils, but since it looks like they're on the verge of collapsing again, I'd rather see Pellegrini winning the league than Liverpool or Chelsea.

As for the match tonight, United only have 2 fit central defenders, which would have been a real problem if Aguero was playing. Having said that, Silva missed the 4-1 demolition at the Ettihad earlier in the season, and Toure's goals have been covering Negredo and Dzeko's loss of form lately. City will have more of the ball, so the onus is on United to defend very well and counter attack quickly, like they did against West Ham at the weekend.

Have a feeling Moyes will opt for caution and drop Kagawa in favour of Young or Valencia, just to make sure City's fullbacks won't overload our flanks. This is the last big league game for United this season, need to put a marker down for next season, don't want to end up with another home defeat, and a big game for Moyes too. I'm not sure what to expect tonight, I can't fathom us being as dire as we were vs Liverpool, so I'm not overly pessimistic, but City are the favourites tonight, and we'll have to keep Silva and Toure quiet, which I can't really see us doing with our midfield. I'd be happy if we avoided defeat tonight, though I have a feeling City will take it 2-1.

All I care for today is Magpies beating Everton, to have a small hope for europe and United to lose for the same reason.

Proud fan of:

Sporting Clube de Portugal, Fútbol Club Barcelona, Newcastle United Football Club, FK Vilniaus Žalgiris

Hilarious ending to Arsenal's match. City looking strong, will likely take the lead in the PL soon. Chelsea needs to avoid random losses.

After Nadal beat Monfils at Doha, before AO 2014

Re: Football zone vol 6

How does a team go from winning EPL by 11 points to mid-table mediocrity in 12 months? Moyes must be a genius.

Can't believe I fell into this false hope trap. City will walk to the title.

Re: Football zone vol 6

United are so pathetic and hopeless, this season everything going wrong for them. everything started with incapability to buy players which they wanted in summer so on last transfer day they started to panic and bought that useless clown Fellaini for 30M of euros. Something similar happened this winter, they overpaid Mata big time searching a savior in that average and nothing more player. How they look atm peak Pele and Maradona wouldn't help them. I don't even blame Moyes for everything, it is obvious that Ferguson left the sinking boat . They should give him a chance to re-build the team at summer and start everything again.

It will be unusual to have CL without United and Milan but we have what we have

Re: Football zone vol 6

Moyes wanted to crowd out that central midfield today, which meant only 3 attackers to hit City on the counter, and that defensive plan backfired horribly after 43 seconds. From that point on City looked reasonably comfortable tonight. United got beyond City's midfield a few times in that first half but in the final third they barely created anything. City scored from a corner (yet again) and Toure wrapped it up in the end.

Pretty dull match and the atmosphere was a bit flat, result just seemed nid, like Nadal-Federer. United just can't compete against the big teams this season. I'm not even that surprised, nor angry, I'm slightly relieved because after that first minute I thought this could've been a real mauling, but City have Arsenal at the weekend so they didn't go all out for the win.

Nonsense. Wenger is 12 points above Moyes having spent much less money and will probably win the FA Cup this year. Moyes can only dream of being in his position.

i am refereeing on all these trophy less years, the guy is selling a fog for years and they believe him. if they want to regain an old glory Wenger needs to leave. he looks lost last few years like he doesn't know what he wants and what he doesn't want, invest in young players and develop them, doesn't want to buy a big fish and spent plenty of money, then he buys it but it will end like a fail it seems, etc... time waded him

Stewards at Old Trafford guarding "The Chosen One" banner just in case someone (or a group of people) tried to tear it down after the full time whistle.

After the Liverpool defeat last week, one fan group asked for it to be taken down.
