Re: Football zone vol 6

Entertaining Clasico, even if tad marred by poor refereeing..Barca were slightly a better team and deserved the win..The major takeaway from this, however, is that both teams, with that horrendous porous defenses, will probably have a train run on them in CL if they draw Bayern in 2 legs Semis..Even Chelsea, could fancy their chances unless Mourinho pig-headedly opts for parking the bus...Still La Liga is Real to lose as they have proved to be the more reliable in tearing through the rest of the field..

Re: Football zone vol 6

how fucking retarded is claiming that Barca were better team. ofc they were better after Ramos was sent off, till that moment they should have been at least two goals down, even without that gifted penalty for Madrid

I'm not sure about that, particularly in the case of Real; the Clasico tends to bring out wild aggression in players and the passion overrides calculation so I'm sure they'd be much more circumspect about Bayern and defend better as a consequence.

My money's on Real in the Champions League.

I agree with acacacacademy.

Look, you either have a good defense or you have not..Nothing emotional about it really, nothing about choosing to be one for one occasion or another....Bayern did not win CL until they chopped off the Demichilis of the this world from their line-up and got a world class keeper (Barca and Real's Pepe, Pique Mascherano..etc..)..You are bound to learn from it the hard way, that is why i think Real will probably experience their 2010 (vs. Inter) or 2012 (vs. Chelsea) moments before they get the "Decima"..

So you're saying that one match is a 100% accurate representation of a team's defensive performance over time. Ignore the fact that Real kept something like 8 consecutive clean sheets at the turn of the year; now I don't care who you are against, that is the sign of a good defence.

You can't honestly tell me upon watching the match last night that both teams defended at the maximum of their capabilities? It was a frantic, highly-charged affair where tactics and any sense of positioning went out of the window. I don't believe either team would be so gung-ho against Bayern, I'm not saying they chose to defend badly, but the Clasico is an electrifying occasion and players tend to be more full-blooded and averse to caution.

I agree on this one. Both defenses were terrible and will be destroyed by Bayern playing this way. The scary thing is that these are the 2 teams who can even challenge Bayern and avoid them to win CL again, so Bayern looks like a done deal to make the double. Even more with no Bundesliga to care now.

Poor ronaldo, I hope he wont die on the field or become a cripple - with the amount of "injuries" this guy pretends to have, he must have about 123520 broken bones already this season. Poor guy

Yeah, real madrid fans are of a special kind. You know, the kind that marries their own sister, only to then leave her for the dog.

The penalties what Barca got, were about 15046340 times more justified, than the joke that ronaldo had. The red for Neymar IMO was not justified, but the penalties both were.

Both Madrid are Barcelona are usually favored by referees. It's funny seeing you crying since before the match started when you are not even a fan of one of these teams supposedly.

That's not even possible, the rules don't allow that. If the Ref thinks Ramos fouled Neymar, then Ramos denied him an obvious goalscoring opportunity and has to be sent off. The ref only had two options, dive by Neymar or penalty and red card for Ramos. In my opinion he chose the wrong option, but that's irrelevant now. What matters is that saying 'It was a pen, but no red card' is bullshit and completely ignoring the rules of football.
