Sadly I sleep so much, especially on afternoon and night shift my life is work + sleeping for 6 days in row.

I forgot that at times it would seem betty.

I live with such strange people. The Nigerian bloke has seemingly made a dinner with fish, chicken legs and some of the world's smelliest sauce.

I wanted to rip my nose off when I walked into the kitchen.

What hours do you do? I used to work 12pm - 9am in a warehouse doing the most boring job you could think of. My motivation was pretty damn low I have to be honest!

I tell you, living without nose is not advisable. I know of a former goalkeeper who got severely injured in the face in a match and the docs who surged him couldn't save the smell- and taste-nerves. In an interview I read after he finished his career he said, once his house nearly burnt down because he didn't smell that in the kitchen stuff was scorching. "If I hadn't had my dog, something bad could've happened."

Morning shift is from 6 am to 2 pm, afternoon is from 2 to 10 pm and night shift from 10 pm to 6 am.
Oh On the factory there are boring jobs too.. Not the moulding area though.

But the final packing must be a nightmare, doing one thing for 8 hours in million times. Like a robot, seriously.

Never ever give up

Factory jobs are soul destroying. I used to have to walk up and down a conveyor belt as I put a parcel in different cages depending on where it was going. NEVER AGAIN.

Instead I sit on a comfy chair for (supposedly) 8 hours a day pretending I am important.

Well my job is tiring a little bit too but as I said moulding area isn't that boring and I wouldn't imagine myself to sit on a chair all day because I'm not always normal, at times I need to make myself tired and I do everything for that.
Really, I don't mind it.

Never ever give up

Work in sales for a finance company. We offer a product called a Merchant Cash Advance.

Wiki defines it as: "A Merchant Cash Advance was originally structured as a lump sum payment to a business in exchange for an agreed upon percentage of future credit card and/or debit card sales".

In effect we look at a businesses credit and debit card sales history over either a 6 or 12 month period (12 if it's a seasonal business) and advance a sum of money based on those numbers (normally around 100% of their average montly card volume). We charge a fixed fee and get repayment through a fixed % of their daily transactions, e.g. we advance 10k, repayment is 13k and we get 10% of their daily card transactions until they have repaid the 13k in full.

When I first joined I thought there was no way a company would pay a fee of effectively 30%. Seemed ridiculous to me, yet having advanced millions of pounds into the market I've suddenly realised it's not too bad of a product! It's expensive, but it works for the right person.

Sorry for the long and boring explanation but thought I might as well explain it properly. Hope it makes sense?

That's fair enough, some people enjoy what they do. I just found the particular bit of work I was doing incredibly boring.

As long as you are happy that's all that matters.
