I know you did. Was it while Victoria that the sun didn't go down in your empire?

the Portugueses also still long for the time when they were bosses in countries over 4 continents

It's good for job prospects. UK job scene isn't pretty, I've always struggled to get a stable part time job, usually just temp shit. I think it would be a huge advantage to be fluent in something like Spanish when I complete my degree.

Nice to hear. Medicine here in the states is changing; some good some bad. I may not have a head of the department to annoy me but the administrators sure do Some hospitals in Maine are doing very poorly- non MD's or supposed businessman made some very poor choices. I am heading in a couple of weeks to interview in Washington state. The timing isn't right for me but they contacted me out of the blue and since I have wanted to get to Washington for awhile I did not want to not go and see what it was like.

Sure, if you don't have a job I'd agree. But I do and I will never need it in my line of work.

I might learn to speak a language for no other reason than it'd be pretty cool and would make traveling easier.

What is your degree in?

The less said about the healthcare system in the States the better...

Thank God for the NHS.

About to finish my second year of a Media Production degree. It's not the best of things I know but I've always been more of a practical person, and the creativity side of things involved in the media really interests me. I hope to work as a freelance editor in the future but I know I'll have to work my way up before that.

Mark Lenders banged your girlfriend, I'm sorry to tell you that mate.

What sort of media would you specialise in? The word "media" covers so many different things.

Went to Uni myself and did economics and politics. Dropped out after a year though! Spent more time in the casino getting drunk and gambling than I did at the Uni. Too much temptation! Do you live on campus?
