Basketball Zone

Thought might be an idea to create a new thread for all those basketball loving fans who want to chat about the NBA season.

Buckle up coz it is a very long journey!

Hi bad gambler

Great idea

Celtics are my team. I'll support Tim Duncan and the Spurs tonight at 10:30 PM

Re: Basketball Zone

Hey, good idea BG!
I was thinking of starting a basketball thread as well, but wasn''t sure if there was any interest for the sport around here.
Anyway, I think it's quite an open season, without any real favourites. Maybe a chance for dark horses like the Timberwolves or Mavericks to get their first title?
It will be interesting to see what Shaq can bring to Miami, how the Lakers fare with only Bryant and how LeBron James will develop in his second year.
Plus, I'll be keeping close watch to compatriots Dan Gadzuric and Francisco Elson (Bucks and Nuggets, resp)!
May the season be long and exciting!

17 (yes, yes, yes!) Slams! And counting....

Oh it will, dont worry. They struggled tremendously last year with SA Spurs, but last years LA team was much different. I expect a very one sided game.

yes it will be a really interesting season...

i think fav for western conference are spurs and eastern have to be the pistons - but as u say there are some potential "dark horses"...i would also add memphis in that category - tehy are a very young team who exceeded expectations last year and will only improve!

Re: Basketball Zone

76ers are my main favorite team!

Goooooooo Allen Iverson!

But I also like Dallas, despite they couldn't play good defense the last season. And Dirk Nowitzki, of course!

Furthermore I like many more interesting individual players to watch.

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy
