My favourite French music video ever. The details in it make it hysterical:

Not so far from Daft Punk. More famous than Air.

This video raises my perplexity to say the least.

interesting

but i guess overall Air is more famous in Europe although their 2 latest albums have been weak, while Phoenix's latest was a killer

Daft Punk are Gods in France. Absolute Gods. a little rumour about them is enough to inflame the French website and forums. Justice is also an interesting case considering they are not that famous worldwide but in France, their popularity is so damn high. Almost on Phoenix's level.

Is it because of Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix and international success or did the success in France come earlier?

I'm asking because their discography is packed with pop masterpieces, but they didn't seem to become big until that album.

I had MCM on my cable TV in the 90s and early 00s, I always preferred it to German VIVA, although VIVA Zwei was awesome.

viva zwei was great for discovering new bands at that time without internet

Swiss band.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

If you sing in English in France, first you have to get an international success then we could maybe give you some credit.

M83 is a good example as they are pretty famous abroad and almost nobodies here.
