I thought the word processor was made for me ..or was it the other way around? ...In computer pre-history (yes, I lived there), I had one teacher hold up a short piece I wrote describing it to the class as a work of art, given all the asides and arrows etc. Another teacher simply refused to read one of my assignments for the same reason. ..I took to the word processor like a duck to water.
..The possibilities of devices now are beyond my ken though. ..Kinda off topic, but seasonal, here's an example of something I just can't fathom, for those among you who haven't already seen it..
I recall the look of astonishment on the tutor's face when I presented him with this 3000 word handwritten essay. And practically the first words out of his mouth were that it would've been more easily done on a computer...I wasn't about to do anything on a system which contains the eternally stupid spellcheck... And yes, I too lived in computer pre-history.
