I don't know, the other module (let's call it B) is the second half of a year-long module but I'm not taking the first half. I wanted to combine B with A, the module that I'm taking in this term, that is similar to B. But because they are "completely different modules", I can't combine the two and write a dissertation for it; I have to do an exam for one and an essay (8000 words, short of a dissertation) for the other. As the course that I wanted to do a dissertation for - let's call it C - it's just been so boring and dull that I don't think there's anything that I want to say.
Or I could do that and write a paper for A and B for fun...I don't know.
My prof was in a hurry today so I couldn't talk to him properly. Maybe I should talk to him soon. My friend told me that I shouldn't be fixed on the word count and I should just write about what I'm interested in, which I think is wise, but...I don't know.
I know this sounds like a simplistic answer, but I suppose from your point of view the essay is virtually a dissertation, unless I'm misunderstanding this, so why can't it be treated as such? Such a pity that the one you really want to do write a dissertation for holds no interest whatsoever. I think you probably do need to speak with your professor to have things clarified before you go ahead and write about the subject which is of real interest to you here. Very disconcerting, not to say off-putting when the situation reaches this point.
What is it like? Haircuts always look best when you're just done at the salon.
I'm sure you're totally exaggerating its potential to frighten passing children or horses though.
How is school for you?
A short bob. Indeed.
Which I had done in June, and since then it's grown about another 2 inches or so as my hair tends to grow like weeds.
Anyhow, my brother said he'd pay for me to have it done, so I did, and now it just looks like a shorter, messier version of the previous cut. Which was not the look I was going for after one day.
Well, maybe a little, but it's not quite at it's best(no exaggeration here
), so I'll spare said animals and little 'uns.
School was a while back for me trip, but it's always interesting to read what and how other folks are doing in their chosen study fields. Some very well educated people here.
