Re: The Lurkers Melting Pot - Sponsored by World's #1 GOAT!

Well I never really did give "Mandy" any chance of winning, but at least he got a set! The rain delay I could have done without I'm glad the thread title was liked Normally I'm no good with thread titles, but this one was just too easy to pass up

Re: The Lurkers Melting Pot - Sponsored by World's #1 GOAT!

Fantastic tournament and champion

One observation : before the rain break, Murray's 2nd serve (kicker and slice) was 99% to the Fed backhand, and Fed kept chipping it back or barely hitting over it, giving Andy lots of free points. After the rain delay, Fed kept going around those 2nd serves with his forehand- I thought that made a big difference in the 3rd and 4th sets. Annacone must have pointed it out to Fed, or he figured out the pattern himself - the rain delay really helped him in the end

Re: The Lurkers Melting Pot - Sponsored by World's #1 GOAT!

Thanks for your dream Bro.

nodz, I loved his aggressive returns on the second serves. Of course the few times he missed or didn't hit a good enough forehand and couldn't recover in time to cover the other side of the court I wanted to throw my cushion at the TV, but the aggression made a huge difference to the outcome of the match. Just read his presser where he said he was consciously more aggressive this match/the whole tournament and it paid off in such fine fashion.

Federer

Congrats to the Fed fans, you must be so happy

Filip Peliwo won the junior title, finally. I'm so happy about that too. He and girls champion Genie Bouchard got to go to the champions dinner and they met Fed there, they must have enjoyed that

It was an all around awesome day

except maybe for all of Britain, at least the Murray fans, he will win 1 one day, keep hopes alive

Winnie is that you? Wow new username. Where have you been!!!

Thanks 156. How awesome is it for you that two Canadians won the juniors. I despised Murray when I started watching tennis in 2008 (I wonder why ) but now I'm totally rooting for him to win a slam. It'd be well-deserved.

Re: The Lurkers Melting Pot - Sponsored by World's #1 GOAT!

Please stay away for the US Open as well.

I didn't really watch that many matches. Rosol/Nadal is probably the best match to watch other than the final. Surprisingly I really enjoyed Wozniacki/Paszek from the women's side. Quality match and not just because Woz lost (she actually played really well).

Were you busy with exams?

I have been wanting Murray or "Mandy" as Sham Kay and I refer to him to win the U.S. Open for years now! In fact I have wanted him to win the U.S. Open more than I ever wanted him to win Wimbledon
