Re: Football Zone

John Terry celebrating getting off the racism charges.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Football Zone

Athletic defeated Olympique Lyon 2-1 in the first friendly of the season, good stuff considering a lot of our heavyweights (Llorente, Javi Martínez, Muniain, Ander Herrera, Amorebieta) weren't playing.

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

Greece sent England home although we played with ten men for the most of the match.Charalambos Lykogiannis
And now, bring on La Furia Roja.It should be a great final.

The Greek team was better anyway, England really needs to get their shit together and start to work on their youth levels because

Re: Football Zone

Marotta playing it smart! Armero is almost a done deal for Juve and the defensive lineup is looking even more solid than last season's. This probably means that Ziegler and Estigarribia are almost certain sells and De Ceglie's chances to play will be even slimmer, but the Colombian is a quality signing in my eyes and a nice addition. Good left back and I see him outperforming Giaccherini if he's in. Not confirmed but very close it seems.

We still need a good forward, Destro seems to be closer to Milan as of now.

Re: Football Zone

At least Berwick Rangers being in Division 3 means that Rangers will be playing in Europe next season

Yup, we're garbage. Awful coaching system that's gonna take 10 years to correct. There's kids at my local five a side pitches about 6 or 7 and they're absolutely brilliant on the ball, but you know if the FA's coaching programme got their hands on them that talent would be coached out of them.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's anti-football that we play at the moment. Hopefully some youngsters will come through, in addition to the gifted technicians that we already have? It's not likely but we can dream, lol. England for Brazil 2014!

We have next to no gifted technicians. We have one outstanding ball player in Wilshere, one good ball player in Cleverley and a composed ball winner in Jones. Them three in a 4-3-2-1 continental system is the way I'd start to move the England team forward.

4-4-2 is old, outdated and belongs in the Dark Ages.

We have as much chance in Brazil as the North Koreans have of democracy.

To be fair, we've got some gifted midfield players coming through like Josh McEachran, Jack Rodwell, Tom Cleverley and others.

A great goalkeeper in Joe Hart.

A solid defence, even after Terry and Lescott leave, with Phil Jones and perhaps Chris Smalling. The full-backs are great, with Kyle Walker on the right and eventually Gibbs.

Up front, Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney looks like a great partnership that will last another couple of major tournaments.

I know it's not a fantastic team, but you can believe with it, unlike England teams for the past decade or so.

Very true, then one youngster has a good game then the idiots overhype him to the moon. They just aren't that good no matter which way it's sliced.

Juve are used to thieving. At the same time Pozzo has this model which works in these financial times, sure it would be good if they can keep the players but it's not going to change under Pozzo at Udinese.

Re: Football Zone

So how good will PSG be next season? 1st in Ligue 1 probably, and then the last 8 in the UCL. That might not be satisfying enough for them though, considering how much they've spent already.
