Re: Football Zone (Man City win the EPL)

What a fantastic atmosphere created by Los Leones and Barça.

I'm glad that my club gave Pep a proper goodbye. Congrats to all my fellow Culérs

Re: Football Zone (Man City win the EPL)

Congrats Javi! very well deserved win even if we were robbed a penalty (fucking referee) it wouldn't have changed the outcome but it would have been nice to score a goal

Real proud of my Lions' season, these two defeats don't mean I'm going to stop supporting, in fact I'm gonna cheer even louder for my boys, because now I know they can do it, we just need to go one step further. Aupa Athletic!!

Re: Football Zone (Man City win the EPL)

Thank Nat! Yeah you guys definately deserved a penalty but I don't think Athletic would have come close to winning. Barça was too focused tonight!

Congrats with your fine season too bad you didn't lift up your first trophy since '85 I guess. Maybe you guys should appoint Clemente again, as he was the last to do it.

I just heard that Bielsa is going to return to Rosario Central who is gonna be Athletic coach next season?

Athletic's form really tailed off towards the end of the season. What happened - did they run out of steam?

Lack of depth, little rotation.

Yes, we do need a larger roster, that's why we're asking for 3 key players to be bought: Beñat (Iturraspe), Azpilicueta (Iraola/Aurtenetxe) and Aduriz/Agirretxe (Llorente).

We did damn well in three competitions with a 14 man squad, with 17-18 guys that get more playing time, I think we can get one step ahead and win a title next year

Bielsa's style is also very intense physically, which hurts the team with little depth even more. You could see how Athletic was running on fumes for the last couple of months and probably cost them a shot at CL football next season.

Absolutely convinced that Hazard will not sign for Manchester United. I can't see how they can win the wage war against Chelsea or City.

Kagawa, surely will sign for United pretty soon.

Brazil making mince meat out of Denmark. Tearing through their defense with ease. 3-0 at the half with 2 goals for Hulk.

Re: Football Zone (Man City win the EPL)

Yes that's the problem Man Utd have when trying to sign the biggest non-British players, meeting their salary demands.

They have the money to spend on transfer fees, but there seems to a very strict salary structure in place there.

I wanted Athletic to end their 28 year trophy drought yesterday, but well done to Guardiola for signing off in style. 14 trophies out of 19 competitions entered in 4 years, including winning every major competition at least twice, is incredible.

It's a shame that the final was dull and one sided.

I still can't get my head around the stupid timing of the final. The RFEF are a clownish organisation.

Re: Football Zone (Man City win the EPL)

Huddersfield finally get promoted to the Championship after losing in play-off semis in 2010 to Millwall and in the final to Peterborough. A tense and boring game but often these occasions are.

They have spent a lot of money since Dean Hoyle became the chairman and were under a lot of pressure to go up.

The decision to sack Lee Clark in February paid off. Many neutrals were surprised that they got rid of a manager that led them to a record 43 match unbeaten run in regular league games, and had only lost 3 out of his previous 55 matches.

Still it made sense to me. He had failed to win them promotion despite working with a much bigger budget than the other league one teams, lost the game that mattered the play-off final during that unbeaten run, and set them out to play negative football.
