Madrid should send a protest to UEFA for not allowing clashes of teams from the same country at the start of CL knockout phase . Madrid got robbed there

Re: Football Zone

There's no reason at all why RM can't perform like this and win at Old Trafford in the Champions League. I don't think the away goal and 1-1 draw is much of an advantage for Man Utd at all and I'm sure Ronaldo will score again next Tuesday.

It looks likely now that Mourinho will complete 10 seasons in a row as a manager with at least one major trophy (not counting 2007-2008 when he was sacked from Chelsea after just 6 league games). That is very good going.

I still think though that if he doesn't win the Champions League this year, you could argue that a 1 trophy out of 6 success rate in La Liga and CL during his 3 years at RM isn't that impressive at all. RM is the undisputed biggest club in the world after all, and he has had so many world class players at his disposal and a lot of money to spend.

Today's result shows once again that Barça's defence is vulnerable. However it is also proof that they badly need an out and out striker and goal scorer to lead the line along with Messi, one that is younger and more mobile than Villa. So what if Messi's individual goal scoring statistics would worsen, it is about the team, and the team badly need another reliable and regular source of goals.

Yes, cause one match tells who is the best player in the world.

I still give the edge to the guy who has 4 Ballon D'ors being 25 years old.

Re: Football Zone

Pass it to Messi and let him score that tactic isn't working. It's the end of their cycle usually for club sides who have been dominant in major leagues it's lasts 4-5 seasons.

Villa he really should be playing. Alexis Sanchez can play, but he is not used in his best capacity at Barcelona and got to love Pepe always involved in something when he plays Farca.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Football Zone

Undiano Mallenco should be officiating every Farcelona game. That's the only way how to make these games regular. Any other ref would give at least one penalty to farca tonight

This could very well be the case. The defence needs changing, Xavi doesn´t have eternal life either and Messi can´t carry the load on his own in offence. Barcelona will have to rebuild.

Although there is no love lost towards Real Madrid from me, kudos to them for this performance. It was quite funny by the end to see Barcelona be this powerless against Real Madrid for a change

Re: Football Zone

Congrats to the real Madridista's over here. I'm hugely disappointed, but not very surprised.
It's rude to kick Puyol out of the team, but he just isn't a first team player anymore.
Maybe it's an idea to make him player/youth coach next year to get acquainted with life after football.

About the match, if there was a better (or let's say less worse) team today it was definately Real Madrid. Totally deserved the win and as a Culer I was disgusted with the behaviour of Pedro, Busquets, Alba and the others today. Flopping like there was no tomorrow instead of creating chances.

If we don't get out of this slump very soon, we are going to get massacred on Saturday again because Real Madrid wasn't even playing well and totally dominating us today.

Feldman trolling like a boss.

Farca stick the fork in them.

The only one debatable is 2010, Sneijder could have won it.
