Re: Football Zone
Real Madrid's best performances this season have come in their biggest games, i.e. against Barcelona. Despite their inconsistent form in La Liga, I think they will turn it against Man Utd in these two legs.
I think that there is far more pressure on Real Madrid/Mourinho than Man Utd/Ferguson. Man Utd are strolling to yet another EPL title, while RM's Champions League performance will make or break their season. Plus no other club has a bigger obsession with the Champions League than RM. They are desperate to win it again for the first time since 2002, and don't forget that Mourinho was brought to the Bernabeu to bring home La Decima. Still I can't help but feel that with Mourinho really needing a result, he'll get it.
Man for man Real Madrid have a much better squad than Man Utd (they have the deepest squad in world football) and if they play to their best then they'll win regardless of how Man Utd play.
Varane looks like he could be the answer to RM's defensive problems and has been very impressive recently (Zizou did very well to bring him to the club in 2011). Ronaldo should terrorise Man Utd's defense, and RM's midfield is far superior.
When Mourinho and Ferguson last met in the 2008/2009 Champions League, Ferguson probably had the best squad he's ever had during his time at Man Utd with so much strength in depth. Inter on the hand were a much weaker team, and only finished second with 8 points in one of the easiest champions league groups any big team has ever had, with Panathinaikos, Werder Bremen and Anorthosis Famagusta. This time Mourinho has the better squad and players.
