Re: Football Zone

Is Beckham any good anymore? Weird transfer IMO, though he'll certainly get some more fans in the seats if that's needed.

After Nadal beat Monfils at Doha, before AO 2014

Only Del Potro can take him out before the semis, and he won't. Nadal is winning the AO, bet your house on it.

The stats actually show a different picture. Ratio of shots saved puts him above all the other goal keepers in the league. The defence has been shit and the last thing we need is fans joining in the witch hunt. He WILL be the top goalie in the world. Just pray Barca or Real Madrid won't have poached him by then.

f'en Liverpoor picked the wrong big game to steal a point, needed to wait till Sunday at City, where they will no doubt get humped 4-0 now
I know right!! The worst is that we can't count on Gooners or Chavs taking points of them. Maybe Spurs can but that's wishful. Hope the scousers get another useful draw and that Fulham don't have surprises in store for us. At home they are another complete beast.

Then again a too large lead can lead to complacency so unless the lead balloons to 15+, it's better off in the 5-7 point regionto keep everyone on their toes.

Lol at Becks giving one big FU to Hollande's tax plan by playing for free (or for Charity). Personally i don't believe the FA should fine players or managers. I wish someone had the balls to go public and say he accepts the fine but is putting it to better use and giving to a charity. The FA won't have the balls to claim their slice of the action.

He hasn't been good for years now. PSG bought him to sell shirts and marketing reasons. Hell, it's a FIVE MONTH contract.

Yeah, thought as much. Didn't see that it was a five-month contract at first. Funny

PSG don't need Beckham for any sort of financial gain through merchandising, the owners don't care about recouping their money, because at this point they've invested so much anyway.

He'll help raise their profile and that's it, don't think any possible financial gains played a role in his signing.

still big $$$ on him, but Berlusconi wants nothing to know about the possibility of moving out of his throne so, well, we can always expect the unexpected with him let's see if the move + increasing debts are worth it for the squad in the long or not so long run

in Juvenews:

1 wow how close we came to losing Matri (big money spent on him) in exchange for an unproven player in Icardi, and on top of everything a nerazzurri supporter . That's what I would call sending an AWFUL message to the squad and a low blow to Ale's confidence or what remains of it..

2 Napoli didn't steal Nainggolan

3 Poli coming in june... regards rossoneri!

We can play Vermaelen at left-back for the first leg of the Bayern game, and then Gibbs will be back for the second leg.
