Re: Football Zone

We could have beaten Chelsea.

Watch us get thrashed at Stamford Bridge now, oh well only a 10 minute journey.

Re: Football Zone

Juventus trying the intimidation technique once again

It worked last year though

Genoa should have got a clear penalty in the first half, the clearest of all discussed penalties on that match
Cu nte will get a little ban again hopefully

Re: Football Zone

Africa Cup of Nations really brought to life today with incredibly dramatic final 15 minutes. In the end South Africa and Cape Verde go through and Morocco and Angola are out. Incredible effort from Cape Verde to go through.

Finally some emotion in ACN! And god, what an emotion. As a portuguese, we all feel here that portuguese african speaking countries its like one of us. I was SO NERVOUS! Those last minutes my heart was almost about to stop!

So happy for Cape Verde. They are the smallest nation ever to play ACN (small island with half million people living there). And they are in QF! Its the biggest moment in the history of the country, since their independence almost 40 years ago! The heaven is the limit!!! Most of their players play here in Portugal, and some of them in 2nd division.

Just a bit sad for Angola, but they didnt deserve it going trhough, and Cape Verde has way more potencial to do damage ahead in the competition, at least for what they had show so far. Also Angola is kind of a regular presence this days, in ACN, so they will have more chances soon, I am sure. That cant be said of Cape Verde. Anyway, as soon as i saw the draw, I knew it would be almost impossible for both to get through, and there was even a good chance that both getting eliminated in group stage. Fortunally, that didnt happened.

Vamos Cabo Verde!!!

Proud fan of:

Sporting Clube de Portugal, Fútbol Club Barcelona, Newcastle United Football Club, FK Vilniaus Žalgiris

It would've been terrible if Angola had gone through with only one goal scored and that being an own goal. I normally root for the Angolans but this particular team were dire. I was so excited when Cape Verde got the winning goal. A fantastic moment and their celebration after the full time whistle was terrific as well.
