Re: Football Zone

Arsenal are shambolic, Wenger has outstayed his welcome there

whats happened to him is he's become a corporate man like the board members

10 years ago he was one of the best coaches around, now he's a tramp.

Agree, but then again he doesn't have the same financial support from the club, like the others do.I can't blame players wanting to play for other teamsWonder how long he'll last, even the home fans are turning on him.

Re: Football Zone

Wenger has never been the same since Mourinho came to England. Before then he was holding his own against Ferguson and had revolutionised Premier League football. However Mourinho and him despised each other, and Special One's constant barbs saw him begin to lose the plot.

I hate Man Utd but it's amazing how they keep coming back time after time to reclaim their title, to continue their relentless domination of English football.

The only time since the early 90s when they have gone more than one season without winning the title was from 2004-2006, when they competed with Arsenal's invincibles and the initial Abramovich/Mourinho honeymoon period. That was when Ferguson temporarily lost the plot, signing players likes Djemba Djemba, Kléberson, Miller, Bellion etc. They still easily qualified for the champions league every year and won 2 trophies during that transitional/crisis period.

The Man Utd team that won 3 consecutive league titles and the Champions League from 2007-2009 is one of the most underrated club teams of my lifetime I think. They had the best back 5 in Europe, one of the best forward lines in Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez, and a reliable enough midfield.

Re: Football Zone

United is all about Fergie, whilst i don't like him at all,he knows how to get the best out of his players, and he remains the only one in charge, there is no player bigger than him or the club. The guy is a genius.

Good win against Malaga for Barca

After Nadal beat Monfils at Doha, before AO 2014

Re: Football Zone

Ferguson is worth at least 10-15 points for Man Utd each season. Under his management, it's amazing how many merely good players look like world beaters and many mediocre players look pretty good. It's also amazing how he keeps rebuilding the team time after time, and they keep winning trophies and challenging even when they are in transition.

Still I think his best ever managerial achievement was to win the 1983 Cup Winners' Cup with Aberdeen, beating Bayern in the quarters and Real Madrid in the final. Ahead of the final, he followed Jock Stein's advice by giving the RM manager Di Stefano a bottle of wine, and tricking him into thinking that Aberdeen were happy just to be there.

I'd probably get banned if I told you what I think about Mike Dean. So I will refrain from doing so.

My club just loses another important match, once again. Every time we look like getting back in form and Le Professeur is hailed as a genius, we go back to being awful. I'm not asking for Le Professeur to be sacked, however. He'll get us out of trouble like he always does, no problem.

Re: Football Zone

who Arsenal need to revive the club is Pepito Guardiola

maybe thats why they dont spend and save all the money, keeping it all in reserve for the Pepster

but i heard today he has eyes on M.City job and Arse wont finish top4 anyway which will be a reality check for them.
