for the most Italy played great but seems like we didn't really need it today, Denmark was very weak overall and weren't a true test. Excellent Balotelli murdering Agger time after time, Pirlo MVP as almost always and the weakest link is still the right and left back positions specially Abate.
I didn't get to see Italy game as it was one of the few not available on ESPN3 but surely Osvaldo didn't help himself getting sent off with half the game to play. I fear Italy/Juve may run Pirlo into the ground this season. Hopefully Juve will give him the necessary rest. Would've liked to see Verratti get some action because I think he will be a major factor for them in Brazil, assuming they qualify. Denmark in a ton of trouble now with Czechs and Bulgarians both solid as well. I think they were 6th best team at Euros but qualifying has not gone well for them so far.

As I said earlier our group is so open that the 2nd place won't got through with too many sides beating each other.

Iceland aren't as bad as you think. Slovenia are really in a bad place at the moment, there could be a coach getting sacked.

Good to see Joshua King helping Norway win over Cyprus, but the Swedish comeback from 0-4 down and Bolivia win were the most amusing results.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

The swedish comeback was not amusing

But it was of course well deserved.

Oh dear, already 10 minutes after the match the players were asked how much they fear the media reaction now

Sorry, but to me it was highly amusing And I actually I loved it cause the German journalists said for days only Zlatan knows to play football in the Swedish team.

Vamos Nando! Come on Andy! A portuguese Vamos to André Sá e Marcelo Melo! Vamos Gastão!Auf geht's Dustin! Vamos ChristianLindell!Vamos David! Pojd Tomáš! Davai Dolgo!

Bolo Zenden, Bobo Gille, Zlatan

Oh but remember, half that team isn't actually German!
Were you drunk when you posted this nonsense? Re read the above quotes and if you need me to point out their stupidity, then I will do so. One clue is Mo Farah not English.

For so many years in the German robot years, they were pulling off comebacks all the time, it's good to see a comeback against them.

I hope so, however they were found guilty of racially abusing one of our under 21 players in the 2007 tournament - the punishment was a £16,000 fine, pathetic.

Re: Football Zone

Pretty standard half of football from England - oh so boring but got a goal from a set piece. 1-0 at half time

Calm down!

First comment is absolutely fair. Compared to the Eastern European hooligans, England fans are like angels. In reality they're not, but they are perfectly respectable and supportive.

Second comment was a joke. More pointing out that these German players might not have the ruthless efficiency ingrained into them. Maybe I worded it slightly poorly, so fair enough if you want to point it out for being nonsense.

Re: Football Zone

Terrible display by England so far. Poland would be winning if they could give Lewandowski space. One feels they sorely miss Blaszczykowski.

Re: Football Zone

Deserved equaliser for Poland - Joe Hart came for the corner and got absolutely nowhere near it. This should be a fun last 20 mins. . . .

Total and utter lie.So typical from a Brit.

Re: Football Zone

You don't win many matches if you have the mentality of sitting on a 1-0 lead on a pitch like this. Every set piece is so dangerous.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is being too heavily relied on imo. He's a young kid, Woy.

Danny Rose provoked(which is clear from a video report from the match) and he deservedly got second yellow card. And what about that English staff member with glasses who was extremely aggressive charging at Serbian players? You better read what Rio Ferdinand wrote about this on twitter. The man is right.

Re: Football Zone

The result overshadows England's lack of purpose and capability to succeed.

Starting to look a little bit concerning in our group. Four dropped points so far.

Re: Football Zone

England would only torture the watching world at WC2014 anyway. Better for football they don't make it.

Danny Rose was taunted with coins and monkey chants all night.
