Albania is a better team than Iceland

We played at home and we played better. They took advantage of a huge defensive mistake and scored through a free kick the winner in the end.

Re: Football Zone

Portugal draw at home against Northern Ireland. 5 points behind Russia already, looks like the Portuguese might need the playoffs yet again. Russia labored to dispatch Azerbaijan at home requiring a penalty.

Um no they aren't, you are talking about the team who beat Norway away, so please don't talk about things you don't know about.

Jostyling over something isn't worth it in this situation.

Re: Football Zone

Thanks Osvaldo for proving me right once again, 2 clear scoring opportunities missed and getting sent off like that

for the most Italy played great but seems like we didn't really need it today, Denmark was very weak overall and weren't a true test. Excellent Balotelli murdering Agger time after time, Pirlo MVP as almost always and the weakest link is still the right and left back positions specially Abate.

Great win for Montenegro btw and i'm afraid it's almost a lock San Marino will remain goalless.

It was a clear foul, debatable whether in the box or not, defender caught trailing leg in the box, caught the other leg first outside the box.

Honduran crowd was loving it. Shocking scoreline, Canada have been decent the last few years.

Argentina ate a 6-1 defeat in La Paz in 2010 qualifying and Uruguay have been awful recently.

Guatemala with an early lead. Makes things interesting.

Re: Football Zone

Disgusting scenes in Serbia in the Under 21s match, England scored with the last kick of the game to win 2-0 on aggregate then all hell broke loose. The crowd starting throwing stones and other missiles at the England players, some fans ran on the pitch as well. There were also a lot of monkey chants aimed at Danny Rose who booted the ball into the crowd in retaliation and then got sent off because of that even though it was after the final whistle. Fights started breaking out everywhere as well between players and even some of the staff - serbia's conditioning coach was seen head butting some of the English staff. Disgraceful behaviour but doubt FIFA will do much about it...

I think Serbia will be hit with a heavy punishment actually. Remember they had a match with Italy in Euro 2012 qualifying abandoned due to fan violence so I don't think they will be treated leniently.

Apart from the first few minutes, this has been the best half of football the US has played under JK. Dempsey has been brilliant so far. Total dominance for most of the first half. USA 3-1 as it stands with 77% possession and 85% pass completion rate.

The Hex is going to be tough but great to watch. Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, USA (?), Jamaica (?)
Yes, they have played well since conceding but that goal was a total disaster. Against stronger opposition errors like that will be fatal. And Mexico, Costa Rica and Honduras will certainly represent better opposition, not sure what Panama will have to offer, I suspect they will be slightly out of their depth.

Venezuela miss huge opportunity to move ahead of Uruguay drawing 1-1 at home against Ecuador. Well they did move ahead of Uruguay but only on goal difference. Venezuela are of course only CONMEBOL side to never qualify for a World Cup.
