Re: Football Zone

Yes and there is no such thing as English or British players diving. This from the Scotland and Wales game with Bale getting a penalty.

Suarez would be in jail or Portuguese Peacock would have articles for days about this.

“ On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Yeah, no.
The only thing Failman never fails, it's to deliver this pure comedy sentences. And the funny thing, is that he actually believe them. In the group they are, it will be way more likely to see the scotish team in the very last place, than in the top3 of their group, let alone qualifying to the WC...

I don't know about Pazzini, he's not world class but certainly better than Osvaldo and his current form isn't even terrible to count him out. Definitely exaggerated by saying 'untouchables' but lets just say the argie and Giovinco are perfect examples of players who are far from deserving to be in the national team, yet they manage to be included because the coach likes 'what they bring'. Different cases in a way though, Osvaldo's at least having a decent stint with a big team and that counts and weighs in for sure. Forgot to add Quaglia to the list of better options now that I think about it.

I feel what you say about Giovinco and painfully agree as the massive Juve supporter that I am, it just sucks that he's always been so hyped and overrated by the press despite failing to be relevant year after year! It's comically sad because the guy is already 25 and some journalists and fans think he's still a 'young hope, future star'

Don't remember when Croatia played so bad like we are playing with new coach . We are just awful but have more luck than all these years together, can't create chance, scoring from nothing but winning points. Afraid how will look when luck leaves us

Re: Football Zone

Tunisia, Ghana, Mali, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Zambia all qualified for 2013 Africa Cup of Nations today.

Zambia went through 9-8 on penalties against Uganda.

Ivory Coast match abandoned with them 2-0 up in Dakar against Senegal due to massive fan disruption/violence. Senegalese fans set fires in crowd after second Ivorian goal. Ivorian fans ended up on the pitch with Senegalese and Ivorian players. Similar situation happened in 2008 when Gambia eliminated Senegal from Nations Cup qualification. Senegal needs to be suspended from international competition after this incident or restricted to playing in empty stadiums at home.

Re: Football Zone

Ethiopia qualify for Nations Cup for first time in 30 years overturning 5-3 away defeat to Sudan with 2-0 home victory.

Cape Verde are tied 1-1 in Cameroon, ahead 3-1 on aggregate. The Indomitable Lions require 3 more goals to avoid missing out on consecutive finals. It would be an historic first qualification for Cape Verde.

Re: Football Zone

And Cape Verde have done it! They qualify for first ever Nations Cup 3-2 on aggregate. Cameroon scored a goal to win 2nd leg 2-1 in final seconds.

Cameroon's goal was scored by Fabrice Olinga on his debut. He became youngest ever La Liga goal scorer earlier this season for Malaga.

Cameroon join Egypt on the sidelines for 2nd Nations Cup in a row. The two have a combined 11 Nations Cup titles.

Re: Football Zone

Central African Republic denied an astonishing first ever qualification in the cruelest of fashions. Burkina Faso's Alain Traore scored in the 6th minute of stoppage time to send the Burkinabe to South Africa. They were so close. In March of 2010 they were ranked 202 and 2.5 years later nearly accomplished what seemed impossible not long ago. Fuck.

You'll beat Wales easily, unless Owain Fon Williams plays in goal

Re: Football Zone

The presence of Osvaldo in the national team seems to be brainwashing people to believe he's actually a good forward, all of a sudden i keep hearing and reading these rumours of Conte being 'in love with his game' and considering giving away Quagliarella to make his arrival possible... speechless and hoping this nonsense isn't true
