Re: Football Zone

I was a bit worried about Jonas when he first arrived at Valencia but he's turned into a great footballer. It was a great purchase by Emery, and Pellegrini has benefitted from his continued excellence.

Re: Football Zone

BATE best side in Europe. Hammer Lille away and thrash Bayern at home.

Re: Football Zone

United are awful. Great strikers but central midfield and defense are in shambles. Hard to understand how Ferguson didn't think those areas needed strengthening.

Re: Football Zone

Well, not sure if a lot of you guys saw Juve-Shakhtar but I must say you didn't miss much :/ I believe this was our worst match this season, even worse than the draw against Fiore were the team didn't create any scoring chances. Today Shakhtar was the better team on the field, they brought much more danger and could've easily won the match in the end. Outplayed by a very solid team, though, should be said too. They played pretty well IMO, great defending and had the best chances to get the lead.

I think the team is a bit tired and that playing with the same players as we did in the weekend wasn't the best choice, guys like Quagliarella, Giaccherini and Caceres would've been good options for the starting XI considering we're starting to need some more 'freshness'. Hope Isla is ready to play a full match soon as well.

Barça defence will suck vs Real. Great Braga.

Isla, while he isn't particularly great technically, could be key for Juve. He's full of passion, and is a great tackler. I'm not sure where he'll most likely play. He's usually at his best in the centre of midfield with either a holding role or a box-to-box role. The guy has so much energy. With a long season, he could drive the team on, when he's healthy.

Re: Football Zone

Barcelona are a disgrace to football? What's new?

Pedro is just one of many of their players who dives.

He feel on his arm, looked horrible, there are pics to be found, but I'd rather not post them, as it looks bad. Arm under his body facing the wrong direction. Ugh.

Re: Football Zone

Another sloppy performance and very harsh scoreline on Nordsjaelland. Big improvement needed against Shakhtar or Roman will blow a fuse.

BATE - Bayern was great entertainment. Hope they both qualify.
