We already won the Super Cup, back when it actually mattered.

International competitions? Would you count the pre-season Asian Cup and American tours we won? They were better attended than today's final.

For once I totally agree with you. I'm trying to support Mikel, Bertrand and Meireles but as a midfield trio they're so average it's no wonder we never control games anymore. Mata, Hazard and Torres have to be very patient.

Re: Football Zone

wtf Essien to Madrid? I like and respect Essien as a player but what this loan means ? They sold Lass to Anzhi but doubt Essien would accept to be back up for Khedira and Xabi, even Modric can play on their position. Kaka also stayed at the end. Fuck me if i understand this

Ramires is behind Meireles in pecking order? But Bertrand as a starter is also odd, I have seen very little of him but he just seems to be there and doesn't really do anything positive or negative during the game.

Kaka will probably never play, they seem to have screwed themselves by wanting a decent portion of his transfer fee back despite him not having much value at this point. It seems Mourinho has maybe soured on Khedira? I didn't get why Lass was starting ahead of him to start season.

Re: Football Zone

Apparently Essien is to replace Lass. Idiotic decisions made by this club in this transfer window. Get rid of Granero and Sahin, two guys who can naturally back up Alonso. Sell Carvajal, who was probably our most promising youth player and who plays the exact position we need a backup in, and then fail to buy a backup for said position for the first team (and bring in a mediocre Portuguse player for the youth team to make up for Carva's departure, with, of course, Jorge Mendes as his agent, NID)

Diarra is a loan deal.

And it's no secret that Mourinho loves Essien, so it's no surprise he still wanted to sign him, even if he's not the same player as he once was once he found out he's available.

Re: Football Zone

Feldman trolling as per usual. He knows how to catch the fish.

Deadline day is ludicrous and the press love it as a way to fill space.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Still top.

This time with equal number of matches. Mind you, we always seem to start strongly.
