Re: Football Zone

Llorente won't sign a new deal with Bilbao and will probably leave the club this summer as his contract runs out next year. Juventus very keen on him.

Reminds me of when Arkulari a bit naively talked about Bilbao players being different and loyal to the club and talked about Llorente having a new long term deal at the club (which he apparently does not). Sadly once again money talks in modern football.

Re: Football Zone

Well La Liga is a joke with the player drain. Shit TV rights deal, lack of financial governance look at the Malaga farce, then having 6 clubs under administration competing in the top league. Only so few places at Barca and RM for players outside, so don't move there. Only option is move to abroad, where at least they will get paid regularly, as well as improving their football education.

The LFP are so hilariously inept that they don't care that their competition is a joke.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I dont want him i want Van Persie

Llorente overhyped, he'd be just another JS Veron or Djemba Djemba

But Llorente on free and surely smaller wages is good for Glazernomics...Van Persie will cost 20+mil and wages surley 180,000+

Van Persie is just as much of a risk. As good as he's been for the past season and a half, you shouldn't forget he's 29 and has a long history of injuries.

For those who are interested. Here are the 2 MTF EPL fantasy leagues. One is Head to Head, the other is the league championship.

Pretty good result considering Chelsea was playing all of their regular starters and we played less than half of our starting lineup.
You forgot to add that Ivanovic was red-carded in 42'

Re: Football Zone

City had Tevez, Aguero, Nasri, Toure, Kompany out there

Mancini wanted this title badly

loved his toy throwing the other day "we are only fourth fave to win the title if they dont give me money"

Re: Football Zone

I think Llorente meant he wouldn't leave Bilbao in terms of la liga to join Barcelona, Real Madrid etc.

But if he does leave for a bigger more competitive club, he'd be an ideal fit in the 4-2-3-1 system that Chelsea is implementing especially considering Chelsea signed a ton of wingers and midfielders to keep it warm and activated for both EPL and CL.

Chelsea I think are looking at Cavani, Hulk, and Llorente as their potential "healthy" targetman. I'm assuming they will probably utilize Torres as a sub (works better IMHO) while their new sign will probably be part of the starting 11.

Re: Football Zone

Lukas Podolski was great on Sunday, I know it was against Köln, his former club, but I think he and Giroud will more than make up for Van Persie.
