Re: rising Francesco - was?

You're definitely in a good mood today.

Lee Jr's mood has improved too. At least I should be glad that his mood did not affect him in school today. I talked with his teacher today and she said he behaved normally.

I knew lots of guys who are like Lee Jr. One of them is my father-in-law, i.e. Jr's grandpa. There were guys in my college who behaved exactly like Lee Jr. too. At least, we know what's the problem with our son and learned how to deal with the problem. I felt sooooo sorry for those who's been struggling with a "wrong label" all their lives.

yes, sometimes it gets hard for ppl to notice that something is different with their child. A friend of my parents' adopted a baby boy many years ago and it took them years to find out that his behaviour was different from other kids his own age.

We are sort of lucky that Jr's pediatrician is also a family friend who has an autistic child himself. He noticed Jr's behaviour and recommended us to a psycologist which started the whole process of evaluation, etc. It took more than 6 months after seeing psycologist, psychiatrist, developmental pediatrician and speech language pathologist plus answered numerous questionnaires before the verdict was out.

Re: rising Francesco - was?

when I was in the seventh year of elementary school, the teacher sent me to a kind of a shrink, because my hand writing was simply impossible
but they never told me or my mum if I need professional help or if I am a genius
