Yeah, very nice. I have to say, since I got back I miss all the bonjouring and bonne soiréeing when going somewhere.
It was also the first time ever we spoke to daddy Clément in our very best French. The poor (but very very very nice) man surely had some trouble to understand us.
And we've found cd's where Benoit Poelvoorde reads Le petit Nicolas, even if I don't understand it yet, it's hilarious.

No idea yet, next tie will be in Argentina, so that's a little too far away.
But I hope to be back in France again some time this year, I love it there. If we can make it work, it'll probably be Marseille again, since it's the cultural capital of the world this year.
And we're not stalking anyone, he just talked to a few people waiting for the car to arrive.
Btw, we notified Arnaud about our trip to Rouen, so he had plenty of time getting a restraining order if he wanted to get one.

I'm joking too, hence the restraining order.

Fluent, that's a joke too, right? Far from it, I still try to keep a conversation going with words, not sentences. I should really study more. But that's why we bought a book of petit Nicolas. I've heard it should be good for beginners, cause it's a children's book, but not too easy. So I'll try to improve my vocabulary with that. And by watching of French movies. I know that studying lists of words doesn't work for me. I've learned German and English from tv and Donald Duck after all. In class I understand everything, but as soon as I close my book, I can't remember any of it. So I just need to make an effort to remember everything and I'm trying to make it fun.

Yeah, the Richie backhand is cool. Though somehow I always find Richie a little boring, even with that backhand. I don't know why. But the second dead rubber would have been a nice match for you to watch, cause Weintraub has a single handed bh too.
My favorite moment from the weekend was Bennet not being able to hold it together during the national anthem, he found the opera singer hilarious and Richie was patting him in the shoulder hoping he could pull off a straight face after all. That was just so funny. And the doubles match of course, I always like to see the Llodra/Bennet team in action.

Re: - * Swiss Chalet * -

Where are you Jim, can't you wake up a bit earlier to have a chat here before I take off to work?

Cloudy, how's the heater? Changed to boiler etc? Back on track?

Hey non-stalking F&E, nice you had such a great time in France!!
for talking with clement's dad

I'm stil not fluent in French (I understand almost everything and I can express myself rather well, but it's still an effort, I can easily switch off my brain and hear nothing of what ppl talk about around me), it takes a lot of time

So Dunc, it's not that easy to pick up on a language at 25+ yo Here it doens't help that JM and I switched back to speaking English together, just so much easier

Javier, don't be silly, ppl who 'hold a grudge against JM' are cuckoo inet ppl, who cares
Behave with the girls you player!!
What kind of business did you start?

Maria How's life? Estonian is a difficult language, I can't get anything of it At work now I'm picking up on small things of different languages.. like arabic numbers, reading in Spanish goes quite ok, but Estonian... Is like Greek or Russian to me Or Korean/Chinese

And JM if you read this, see cu later

Have a good day

.

What's the point being retired if you can't stay in bed late?
Actually I'm fairly early this morning (8.00 a.m. GMT) as I have an appointment with the dentist. (Yes, I still have a few teeth left )

Don't forget the hour difference in our time zones. I'm not getting up before 7 even for you!

It's not THAT bad. I would never try Korean/Chinese though.
We have many words of German origin.

Hi Duncan, Oldie, Kezzi! DC ties are always fun.

We are still going to French class, but we started in the 2nd beginners group. We're now in the 3rd. Then you have another 3 advanced groups and after that another 2 'almost fluent' groups. If we finish the book we have now, we should be on european level A2. I'm already happy I can understand a lot more than before.
Llodra is on the alt list with Mahut, I guess they'll be on time for on site sign up.
