Re: Roland Garros 2012 : Fireside Chats

I think Rafa's gonna win it again. For some reason, he didn't seem too disheartened after losing the AO final and his attitude already to me seems to be much better than last year. I remember him saying he was going to "wait" for Djokovic to drop his level, this year he's talking about taking his game to the next level.

He made a racquet change (only slight) but still that requires a fair bit of time to find your range with when going for flat out winners. I think he can take a lot from last night's match, he will learn very fast that if he plays his normal style of game then Djoker will blow him away, BUT if he plays aggressive and goes for his FH DTL, then he can most certainly match it with Djoker, he did take 2 sets playing like that afterall.

Re: Roland Garros 2012 : Fireside Chats

Soderling will be back as the X-factor.

I could already see it. Soderling vs Del Potro in the RG 2012 Final. Soderling takes out Fed in QF just like 2010 and in his QF JMDP lays a smackdown on Nadal like in USO 2009. Then Sod vs Murray in a deadly 5-seter in SF and Del Potro vs Djokovic in the other SF, a rematch of 2011 where he makes one of the matches of his life to spoil Djokers career slam ambitions.

The final will then look like the Sod vs Delpo meeting in WTF 2009. Brutaly heavy tennis with 2 players being aggressive all match. It goes to 5-sets but those 5-sets only take 3,5 hours but still has double the amount of winners of your average Rafa vs Nole.

The newspapers the day after will label it: "The match that saved tennis but killed 1000 tennis balls"

Re: Roland Garros 2012 : Fireside Chats

the only way rafa can win, is for someone to knock out nole

Rafa! Rafa! Rafa!

Epic movies, like brokeback mountain, are seldom found in the industry or worthy for the mainstream viewer. As often as I have watched the clips of this movie, I always find something more to it. For one, the gay stuff doesn't enter the picture for me, only the dimension of the highest love I have ever witnessed in life or on film.

Rafa almost knocked Novak out on a HC which is Djoker's preferred surface, so he has a very good chance to do it at Roland Garros.

Why do we always chat next to the fireside? Why not the beach during sunset? Much more intimate and romantic IMO.

To restate:

Almost knocked out a tired nole. a fit Nole has taken him out on his beloved red surface.

True. Since the final will be between Nole and Rafa, we Federeeeeeeeeeeeesians would really prefer a more picturesque setting.

add a public poll for possible winners, CD. always more interesting.
