Just got a call from the tournament director.

Turns out I have no bye, and I will be playing 11 AM first round vs. Alex Muvdi, who also has no results.

These guys with no results are always the most dangerous. I must be on my game from the warm up. I also need to NOT DF at all. I will probably try serving at 75% power on the first serve, just place it, get it into play, and if i am forced to play a 2nd serve, just push it in. At this level, my serve ought not to be destroyed, even the pushes.

This Muvdi won't be easy. I must play my best to have chances.

Doubt the 'NO DF AT ALL' approach is the right way to think. If you do hit one, you could mentally collapse and become pissed with yourself for missing your goal. Especially if it happens early on.

Trying to rationalize an upcoming loss by making your opponents sound better than they are?

But seriously, good luck. Hope you can make it competitive.

Working till 930 tonight, I want to get to sleep by 11 PM, or at least try to, but I always have insomnia. I will be lucky to get 8 hours tonight, but will try for 9. We gonna see. With an 11 AM start, I like to get up 3 hours before, so 8 AM. Rub one out, by 815 AM. Shower, then a protein shake, multivitamin, roughly 60 grams of carbs of oats, drink up mad water, some gatorade also, a handful of carrots for vision. I'll leave around 930, get to the club around 10ish, and have 1 hour for a full stretch out, some jump rope, and a good 40 minute hitting session before the match. Ideally I go straight from practice court onto match court.

I'll be playing only with 1 racquet this weekend, due to yesterdays smashing. Usually I get all my laundry, stringing, grips, etc. done before friday, which has been done. I'll probably ask to borrow some Wilson as a backup stick in case my string pops at the club tomorrow.

I will pack 3 packets of tuna for after the 2nd match, a double protein shake for in between matches, and a whole mess of oats for in between matches and after the 2nd match for carbs. 2nd match is at 230, should i win the opening round (no guarantee), and then work from 6-1 AM. Should I win both rounds, I gotta ask either for a later start on Sunday or try to get out of work early, or try to win the SF on 3 hour sleep.

But lets focus on Muvdi first.

Also, are you going to be texting and keeping statistics of the match?

I advise you not to. Turn off your phone, resist the urge. You say it helps you, but then you would have had results, no?

Absolutely, will be a pivotal part of my preparation. I've seen what happens when I don't. I am far too angry, and racquets gets smashed. I must play with more calm.

I will take down stats, yes.

I remember matches where I DIDN'T take sTATS, and I regret it very much later on. It take like 15 seconds to take the notes

I won't be posting on MTF during the match, that's for sure

Will there be video assistance with the gun unloading? Or will it be imagination?
