yes don't grind yourself down into dust!
I've probably been having the Nike slogan in my head too much with 'just do it'
but either way you're trying and what is that saying, good men give something a try and move on if they fail, but great men keep trying until they succeed.
at least you're trying, that's the #1 recipe to life and getting things done. P.S. and eat your veggies!
Great slogan here, man, and I truly do appreciate the support. It's funny, as I am reading your post, I had a stick of celery in my hand

My long term goal right now is to play Olympics 2016 in Brasil.

Gotta be one of the top 4 Americans by that point, so probably late 2015, early 2016 into the top 100.

Bad loss Jonathan mate. 0-6 0-6. Must feel pretty down that match, but I guess when he is much better the acceptance is there pretty quick.

I also noticed you win less than 50 percent of service points almost every match. You think this will improve when your shoulder is healed? Maybe you should use placement or kick serve instead of a powerful 1st serve instead for now.

You know I've thought of this for sure, Javi.

The thing is, if I just spin in the serve, these guys return so well, I am on defense from the first shot. So I must go for a bigger serve, even on a 2nd serve I really go for it, otherwise I'm toast.

I've hit more DF just trying to push it in than really going for it, and pushing in a 2nd serve almost always means a return winner or set up point for the other guy.

But once this shoulder is 100%, finally I'll be able to serve very well on a 1st, and even spinning in a 2nd serve will get me into neutral rally. Once I get this shoulder right, my body will be able to do what my mind wants to do.

Re: Worst choke of my career. Blew 3 MP and 4-2 40-15 in the third to lose 6-3, 5-7,

http://tennislink.usta.com/Tournamen....aspx?T=129679

Terrible, terrible loss today. I played the 3 seed in the 4.5's.

I had a great week of preparation, and I started off relatively well. I had 3-0 in the first, but then he broke and held for 3-2. Then I held and broke for 5-2, but fucked up again serving with the lead to give the break back at 5-3. I was able to break for the set at 6-3.

The 2nd set was a bit of a breakfest/mugfest, as we broke each other serves 8 times in a row

At 4-4, I was finally able to hold, and I wanted to break at 4-5 to win it 6-3, 6-4.

He served at 4-5, 0-40. Surely I will get this done. At 0-40, I miss a return CC BH slice just a few inches wide and long. At 15-40, he hit a good 1st serve, jammed me, and I sent the FH into the net. At 30-40, we have a long rally, he brings me into the net on my FH side with a drop shot, and I have a chance to hit the ball DTL for the winner and the match, but I change my mind at the last second to go short angle cross, he catches up to it and sends it DTL for the winner, FUCK!

He ends up holding in that game to send it to 5-5. Mentally, I was over it, but physically, my Rhomboids are just not there. I was DF left and right in this match, and must have hit around 30 DF, no bullshit. My serve today made Coria look like Sampras.

I give away the break at 5-5, and he serves at 6-5. Again I have 0-40, again he gets out of it. I have 5 more AD break points to take it, including one where he plops a 2nd serve in, I run around to smack it inside out, and it catches the tape

He ends up holding for 7-5 and we get a 10 minute break and new can of balls. He breaks me to open the 3rd, but still I fight back to break for 1-1. We both hold for 2-2, then I hold from 0-30 for 3-2. Then I break him for 4-2, and am serving 4-2, 30-15.

I win the point, and get ready to serve at 40-15, but he is walking to the other side, thinking the game is over. "40-15" I say. "Oh, thank you" he says.

I proceed to DF twice in a row to get back to deuce. "Fuck, I should have just taken the game for 5-2, this shit would be over!"

Instead, we go back and forth a few deuces, until eventually I hit 2 more DF from deuce and AD to give away yet another break.

He holds for 4-4, and once again I DF on BP to give away a break. At this point I am fried mentally and I'm done. He holds to 15 and wins the match, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 after 2 hours 30 minutes.

Absolutely the worst loss of my career, I took one of my racquets (shitty racquet, non-Pro Staff 85 tournament stick) and smash it to hell. 2 handed, yelling obscenities as I do it. It was therapeutic, but I am still pissed at the result, I can't FUCKING believe I lost this one.

I had it, I fucking had it. This is twice now in the last 2 tournaments I was close to upsetting the higher ranked, higher seeded player, and both times I fucked up from up a break. This time was worse though, as I had 3 MP and a break in the 3rd. God fucking damn it.

No stats, as I did not take them during this match, but I wish I had.

My upper back is the issue, the Rhomboids.

http://www.pocketpt.co.uk/images/brain/bp/rhomboids.jpg

I feel it on all of my shots.

I am unable to transfer energy into the ball effectively from legs to wrist. The kinetic energy gets lost in the Rhomboids and I end up hitting with almost all arm. It was a miracle and just pure guts I was able to come so close anyway. I feel it on FH, and on BH, when I set up for the shot and go for it, I cannot go as fast as I want to, as I know I will be unable to control it. So I have to push sometimes, and the guys I am playing here are too good for that, they don't make many errors. So, I had to go all out, sometimes I make it, sometimes I missed.

I especially feel it on serve. When I get into this position:

http://www.tennisrulz.com/atp/player...allery/008.jpg

Everything is fine up to that. My legs are very strong, and I get into the trophy pose very well. However, it is going from there into the follow through:

http://www.rolemodel.net/uploadimage...pras052697.jpg

Is where my difficulty lies. The power from my legs gets lost, and I either push to get it in, or go for it and it may or may not land it.

It fucking sucks, but I just gotta improve. At least I know I am close, and I know what I need to work on. I did not lose this match mentally, I did not lose this match endurance wise, even after 2.5 hours, I was still fine to run around for 30 shots. No, it is physical/technical. Once I get these Rhomboids right, I'd beat guys like this in straights in 1 hour 30, easily.

Most points, that I didn't DF on, were me smashing FH inside out into his BH, and him slicing them back defensively. I was Del Potro, he was Simon.
