nah, someone spending and taking that much time out of their life in such a key period (their 20s) is being SOMEWHAT serious. it wouldn't make sense as a 'joke' to put that much effort. that or they're crazyyyyyy

Johnny, go to the Tennis Warehouse forums and post a bunch of your videos from many angles in the Tennis Tips and Techniques section. There are many reputed professional coaches and high level players who post there and are willing to help you for free. You need to actively try to improve, and I think you don't really know how to at this point.

From what I've seen of these Sharm El Sheikh futures, it would be pretty easy to buy some wins there. Just saying.

Why of course. No doubt that this is serious indeed, I know that very well. I do believe I used the word "serious" in my post after all.

EDIT: My mistake, the word I used was "honest", which is a good substitute for 'serious' in this case.

Last week or so has been very difficult for me, very depressed, but I feel I have gotten past the worst, and will only get better from here.

Putting mountaindewslave on my ignore list has also helped tremendously.

Actually if You believe in Yourself and be Relentless in Your Pursuit you can achieve anything in Life. And If you are 24 that doesnt make you much Old. You can do it. Do the Hard yards, get some very good advice and always believe in Yourself.

By the way, Do You have an ATP Ranking? Or Can You tell me how does one get an ATP Ranking ? Suppose If i want to play an ATP Tournament what is the procedure.

Most direct way is through Futures. Sign up through qualifying, qualify into main draw, win a round, get an ATP point. Rinse and repeat. Then, to play an ATP event, you need to basically be in top 100 for direct entry. For qualies, it depends. Some people I train with were able to get into Delray ATP Qualies because no one signed up

Out of the people you train with, where would you place yourself level-wise? Top half, top 10%?

Grigor Dimitrov Newest Member of Top 10
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga | Marcos Baghdatis

Andy Murray | Alexandr Dolgopolov | Milos Raonic
Pistol Pete

Of the people I train with, I am top 10% sure, which means i need to find better sparring partners, but it is tough when people look at your record, your results, and don't want to train with you. i've been on both sides of that equation.

bottom line im not good enough yet.

This is nonsense. Better that people are honest with themselves. This isn't fantasy land. There are lots of things in life that we will never be able to do no matter what.

That's not necessarily true. Especially for Johnny's goal, a lot has to be factored in. Say he wants to be in the top hundred of the ATP Tour. For every generation of tennis players, there's at least a thousand guys who want the same. They work just as hard as him and may have the luck to have more talent, natural power, financial support, or just started playing tennis earlier and have an even bigger advantage..
