It's a long road, sure. But things can happen quickly in this game. Things change quick.

Delpo went from outside top 1000 to inside top 200 in one year. Roddick went from unranked to inside top 100 in a year. Federer went from 800 to 200 in a year, so did Nadal, and many other top 25 players. Things happen VERY fast in this sport.

Well yeah but I think you're simplifying it a bit... They were all top juniors and great prospects. There are simply things that are tough to pick up in sports when you get older. Granted there are some players who break the top100 later on in their career such as Gicquel, but he broke the top1000 in 1999, when he was 22.

Not saying you're facing an impossible task, I mean anything is theoretically possible

After Nadal beat Monfils at Doha, before AO 2014

Only Del Potro can take him out before the semis, and he won't. Nadal is winning the AO, bet your house on it.
Somewhere out there, there is a homeless person who once took betting advice from GSMnadal

I would love to play you. I've been a 5.0 since my 15th, but haven't really trained in years, think we would have a great match.

Although I'm a real clay player, doubt you have seen a lot of clay courts in your life . Same could be said about me when we're talking about hardcourts, though.

I am the Nelson Mandela of MTF

There it is

If anything, I'd compare myself to Tilden, save for the weird stuff. Tilden was a club hacker for years, couldn't even make his college team. He was a nobody at 22. 4 years later he was #1 in the world

Hell yeah man. I've seen plenty of clay courts in my life, in fact I play as much on clay as I do on hard courts, if not more so. The tourney last weekend was clay. Green clay, though, American clay I've played on red clay a few times though

Keep the dream alive, Johnny

RAFAEL NADAL and GRIGOR DIMITROV

Rafa winning at least one slam in 10 consecutive years is the best achievement in Open Era tennis since Laver won all 4 Grand slam tournaments in the same year!

Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion!

Well, to be fair I'd say that the times have changed since then.

But, as said, good luck. Make sure you have something to fall back on.

Re: My tennis career, time for another tournament

How are you, MTF?

Well, it is time for another tournament. Jumped through some hoops to get the weekend off from work, and now am playing a Men's Open down in Plantation.

http://tennislink.usta.com/Tournamen....aspx?T=113884

I am on line 3, I play Wayland G. Lee in the first round. I am looking no further than the first shot of the first point of the first game. Vamos.
