About the ear piercing, it's a bit tricky. It is a custom here to pierce girls' ears soon after birth. Sometimes when they are one day old. I had mine pierced when I was 8. There were no guns then and it was done the traditional way, a nedle and a thread. I got to keep the thread until the wound was healed. Jess, it was an ordeal, not the piercig itself, but the wound until it healed. One of my worst experiences as a kid. So, I did it to my daughter when she was a day old. It took 2 days and she was OK. As she was growing up, she always snatcher her earrings and threw them. She lost 2 diamond ones
. At 5, she told me she doesn't want to wear earrings so we took them off. Now she's 8, her piercing is clogged and she wants to wear her earrings again but is so scared it's going to hurt to declog the piercing.
