Re: o*The Fantastic Voyage At the Castle: Volume 38

If he doesn't appoint a coach for the Australian Open and he goes out early, I know what the media here in Britain are going to be saying "He should of appointed a coach before the 2011 season started and like that....."

i agree with jase ( a few posts above yours). murray played decently in the fall, no reason for now to change things up. he should wait and ponder choices and play the oz open without a coach. no need to rush things, it's very important to him to make the right choice. after all, the next few years are crucial for his career.

That's true Imran, but it's the UK Media, let them talk BS, it's what they only know how to do anyway

Makes me wonder though, lets say he wins the AO, would he even consider a coach?

I haven't posted in that evil thread, how could I? I don't dislike any players, impossible for me. Even the ones that annoy me -ie. Roddick- find a way to my heart sooner or later.

By the way, I'm re-watching the Wimbledon final between Borg and McEnroe 1980. Good stuff, man, good stuff.

You would think he wouldn't consider getting a coach in that situation, but he probably would because he really needs one for the clay season

Re: o*The Fantastic Voyage At the Castle: Volume 38

Yeah true.

Good point, I reckon for the Clay Season he would probaly appoint a part time coach just for that season and then after that I'm not to sure.

If he is going to appoint a coach and have him for the Aussie Open, it looks like it has to be done soon.

I have the same feeling, I don't dislike them, I just don't support them if that makes sense.

Good point...I couldn't remember if he got rid of Corretja or not. I see a bit of Corretja in Murray's game at times (at least forehand wise).

I'm the same way as you guys for the most part

I forgot about him, maybe he will help Andy through the Aussie summer then?

Re: o*The Fantastic Voyage At the Castle: Volume 38

Well his whole team seem to be helping him no matter where he is Of course he'll probably help him and well on the clay he'll no doubt be like a coach to Murray, so realistically he doesn't really need a coach till after RG, but then that causes problems with Wimbledon. Maybe after Wimbledon the right time?

Re: o*The Fantastic Voyage At the Castle: Volume 38

i have no idea what is happening on the coaching front with murray.

he really needs to get on with that. i would look at jose higueras and killer cahill.

the really the best of the best will not usually travel full time with you as they have too many options. they are also very busy.

why not hire them as consultants.
