Same here. Just a couple of days ago I told a friend of mine that I would love to see Sergio in a top car, e.g. a McLaren, and now it's really happening. That's incredibly exciting.

Has that Vettel feel from a few years ago. He did great things in the Toro Rosso, and we all know what happened when he got a good car. Hope Perez can do something similar.

I'm no Fakervic fan but he needs to save tennis, sadly tree trunk legs will be fresh. Interesting he's never questioned....

Lewis.

Seeing Nico and Lewis on the same team should be fucking awesome though.

On the other hand so glad Perez went to McLaren, if he went to Ferrari would have been the same shit that Massa's been through since 2006 really.

On the note of Massa, anyone think he might actually keep his seat for next year now? Alonso's still said Massa's the man and Santander apparently wanted Massa for this season in regards to their advertising in Brazil, so maybe they'll keep him? He's my favourite driver so I really do hope so.

Re: Oo==~ \(o)__(o)> --*F1 Thread ~ Vol #2*--

So Schuey announced his retirement. To bad he didn't won races in this 2nd career, that German legend winning races and maybe even championship for Mecedes would've been great.

Japanese GP this weekend. So early wake-ups coming. But I think I won't wake up for the Friday practises, I'm that much fed up with this season. And it'll be probably the first time in the 00s when I plan to skip practises just because I rather sleep, I've planned to skip practises only because I've had better things to do or haven't been able to watch them plus I've skipped some because I was just too tired and couldn't wake up to turn on TV/computer. Maybe the only thing that interests me in F1 still as much as previously is the corporate side, otherwise F1 has went terrible.

I liked the result of todays race. First of all, great that Kamui took his first career podium, especially in Japan. Secondly, nice to see Massa back on podium, he's one my favourites. And great for the championship battle that Seb took win and 25 points to be only four points behind Alonso. Yet, as Alonso was out, I would've loved to see my ch'ship favourites Lewis and Kimi do better, this was probably their last chance to become serious title contenders.

Conspiracy theory fueled after Alonso punt by Raikkonen

That Spanish journo claims it's a conspiracy, he just don't know if it's because Ferrari sacked Kimi or if it's to help Red Bull. And as if Petrov shoud've allowed Alonso past at Abu Dhabi '10 even if they were racing for the same position.

Tennis has too many soulless tournaments in Asia, but that's nothing compared to F1. And Bernie wants to move even more races from Europe to Asia.

Every race on a soulless track is one reason less to follow F1. F1 has five classics, Spa, Suzuka, Silverstone, Monaco, and Monza. I could stand losing one of those but I stop following F1 if two or more of those are lost.

Vettel qualified third for Abu Dhabi but has been forced to the back due to a violation of qualifying fuel rules. He will have to start in the pits.

This is great for Fernando. A podium is a requirement. Preferably, he wins the race. Even better would be Sebastian having a failure.

Lewis won the pole, but with his luck this season, we'll see if that's an positive omen.

Well, this disqualifying looks quite understandable. First of all, Vettel didn't come to pits, which leads to DSQ like Hamilton ealier this year. And unlike Hammy then, Seb didn't even have the required 1 litre of fuel for fuel test. But why did that happen? I've read that it was Renault's engine engineers that told Seb to stop the car. So, maybe there was a fuel leak that caused him to run out of fuel. At least underfuelling doesn't make sense, you can't get away from it, it must have been undeliberate.

But I also have a conspiracy theory for this. I read Ferrari had complained to FIA (stands for Ferrari International Assistance, not Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) that there was something illegal in Red Bull's car. Maybe FIA had promised not to give a penalty to RB if they sabotage their own cars, costing them the championship. I read a conspiracy theory in '07 that McLaren had to lose the championship because of the espionage controversy, and that's why they didn't pit Hamilton in China before his tyres were worn out. Maybe this is something similar.

Anyway, after qualifying I thought this is gonna be another boring Abu Crappy Grand Prix, so I can well watch Paris TMS final instead. All the Abu Crappy GPs have been boring, although Petrov keeping Aclownso behind and costing him the title in '10 was the Rosol-moment of F1. Well, now the situation seems more intersting, but I'm so pissed off of that penalty that I still don't know if I watch that race anyway.
