Re: Football Zone

It is fascinating to listen all these eulogies on Barca's game through the years, proclaiming this Barca maybe the best team of all time . And every one of these morons forgetting few things . First CL title in this decade they won after they were loosing in final and Lehman got red card . Second title they won after that disgrace in SF against Chelsea , when they won the title against Man utd. nobody hasn't even mentioned what happened in that game just few weeks before and everybody was celebrating their greatness . Last year again refs gave their best for Barca's title but justice finally won . And this year again same story . When you add to this refs in Primera which are doing it's best to insure the title you will have " the best team of all time " who would be nothing without disgraceful refereeing . Barca without refs would be like Arsenal . Beauty without result

Re: Football Zone

The referee help has been pretty blatant in many CL matches for Barcelona

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

Re: Football Zone

Barcelona definitely got a lot of help today, but no team deserves to advance when they can't muster a shot on goal for 90 minutes

Bendtner with jelly legs under pressure as usual.

Re: Football Zone

Great refereeing and Arsenal were outclassed, lucky Bendtner had an elephant touch.

Barca created more than enough chances to kill this game off and Almunia had a brilliant game.

Good to see Shaktar pump an average Roma team 3-0 was fair, no surprise Mexes getting sent off.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Football Zone

2 big wrong decisions

1/ the red card to van persie
2/ the failure of the ref to give barca a penalty at 0-0 in the first half when messi was blatantly tripped in the box.

not that such decisions "balance out", but barca got a blatant decision given against them tonight as well

and if referees cheat to help barca so much, why, oh why was their winning goal against inter in last season's semi final chopped off? there was a handball, but it was accidental and imo a goal should have been given. barca have been the victims as well as the beneficiaries of some dodgy refereeing.
