But Melzer is a surprise. When will this eighth game ever end?

nadal is far from his best but he still is not giving up any sets.

his game could catch fire by the semis. i think he has a few extra gears anyway.

he must feel that he really doesnt need to go all out at this point. why bother risking an injury.

he has a smooth, fluid ground game. its great to see him play on clay.

I think Sod is going to give Rafa a run for his money.

OK Kay that's it, admit it, you just try very hard to like any player that is overwhelmingly hated by pretty much everyone else. I mean James Blake???

Tennis has no blood passport system, and does basically no out of competition testing.

The methods and drugs used by Armstrong in 1999 would work in tennis right now, with zero chance of being caught (not slightly surprising to anyone familiar with the topic, btw).

how do we even know that he is going to be there amanda?

berdych has plenty of game and power of his own.

bird man demolished him 2 and 2 last time they met.

so you know berdych has no fear of sod.

Do you really believe that? Honestly? Nadal, the player whose biggest virtue and flaw is precisely giving 110% on every point saving himself?

He is not the player he used to be. He better get out there firing on all cilinders in the final or he might very well leave Paris with empty hands.

Re: •°o*Ye Olde Castle vol.32

Berdych will want revenge against Rafa, he's lost like 12 sets in a row to Rafa Nevertheless in ALL those meeting the first set has either been 7-6 or 7-5 so if Tomas can take the first set against Rafa...

Re: •°o*Ye Olde Castle vol.32

clay warrior is still not giving up any sets jase.

that is key. sooner or later his game will click but for now, he keeps winning anyway.

still no sets lost here and only 2 sets lost on clay the entire clay season.

I agree. The spotlight had not been on Berdych and I think that really helps him too. They are 1-1 on clay I believe, the last match, on hardcourt, was a wipeout to Berdych also.

No explaining, I just thought that was Blake. Granted I didn't have a close look, it was hurting my eyes...

Oh well, same shit!

No really, Henry is also widely hated here.

Re: •°o*Ye Olde Castle vol.32

Berdych has played around the same quality of players as Rafa has, and on route to their respected Semi Finals he's dropped less games

i am just examining what is transpiring right before my eyes jose.

1. zero sets lost here
2. keeps winning even when not close to his 2008 level
3. only 2 sets lost during the entire clay season
4. about to win his 20th match on clay this year with zero losses
5. just finished winning 3 monster clay events in a row

how much more evidence do we need? we will have more information until he loses.

until then its business as usual for him. he keeps winning matches. that is a pretty good indicator that he will keep winning here.

he has won this title 4 times. he will soon make it 5. trust me on this.

soderling is nothing compared to him. just watch what he does to him if he gets his hands on him.
