Re: •°o*Ye Olde Castle vol.25

i dont think anybody had the supreme fitness and the machine-like consistency that clay monster has shown us in the past when he was fit and healthy and playing his top tennis. endless injuries and the resulting drop in his supreme fitness now are taking their toll on him now obviously.

but that is basically what murray has to do. he has to outlast fed off the ground. there is no other way to defeat fed. you have to keep him out there for 4 hours or more and start chipping away at his mental and physical reserves. that introduces doubts on several fronts. and once the doubt creeps in, you have him on the ropes.

that is extremely hard to in the best of 5 sets foremat against fed. i have only seen nadal, djokovic, and d-pot pull that off at a slam in the last 5 years.

Becker once said that a 5th set was more about the mind that about the tennis and I think the guy knew what he was talking about
IF roger plays like he has been playing i can't see him losing.

Ooh I know! I remember and have photos from that (it's a very nice photo double for me )

I was disappointed Pico didn't play doubles at the AO. I believe he wanted to concentrate on the singles, and I guess making 3rd round is a good thing on HC but the selfish part of me would have liked to see him in doubles too

i have never been in a position of being drunk, what does it feel? you lost your consciousness and don't know what you are doing while being drunk? and do all those things that you won't do in normal status ?
