True.I think even though lots of people seem to deslike her,but i'll bet they'll miss her fighting(not with the line people) spirit if she was to call it a day. She's the true number one imo.

Many just want to see new winners and they will now.

Nadal has too many injuries and Federer does not want it as much with the stage of his life changing.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 19 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 26 Master Series.
Nadal 15 GS, 30 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 12 GS, 5 Year End Masters, 30 Master Series.

Not that I have children, but everybody I know says they have a massive effect on your life. Particularly time which means full preparation is not so easy for a tennis player.

Haas and Nadal are OK too. And while I am not necessarily a Nole fan I have started liking him a lot better since his obvious admiration of Marat has become apparent!

Oh and I like Baggy too.

that's true, but I'll be rooting for justine all the way. She's always been one of my favorites. How neat would that be though if she won. Clijsters won her first slam after coming back from retirement and then henin.

it will be really tough though.

BTW Dr Jules, an honest question

How would you react if Murray loses?

Like Dani ("Ditherless").

Actually the week proves Murray is continuing to move in the right direction and losing to Federer is acceptable (apart from Nadal rarely has he not won on the big stage- only 3 other players since June 2004 which is 5.5 years have done it). There is far less expectation of a Murray win than against Davydenko or Djokovic or Tsonga.

Federer 19 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 26 Master Series.
Nadal 15 GS, 30 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.

Re: •°o*Ye Olde Castle vol.25

thanks for the answer

I think Roger is in that point of his career on which losing to him is almost an honor (though I don't think any player can say they are happy about it) and defeating him a great feat (see Benneteau in Bercy for example)

Hopefully we can have a great match, I don't want another blowout in either way

Rafael "The Matador of Spin" Nadal
Roger “The Magician of Precision” Federer
Del Potro, Ferrer, Haas, Zeballos

I personally hope Andy kicks Roger's ass 6-0 6-0 6-0 and that Roger cries even more than last year but I'm sure it'll be the other way round

Richard GasquetGilles SimonRafa Nadal Stan Wawrinka Andy Murray
