I read it was expected the new Twilight to even break Avatar records but it couldn't even break the New Moon let alone Avatar. They say the next instalment is gonna be "hot"

Re: movie stuff

I expected Twilight to gross much more than 162 million as well, it's still a lot, but well.. it could have been way more. And it will go down considerably in week 2 I guess, much more percentage-wise than movies usually do. Pretty much everybody who wants to see it (yes I'm talking about girls between 13 and 20) will do so as early as they can. I guess the target group is simply too limited, it will probably even gross less than Toy Story 3 which is a good thing.

I have not seen any of those. But with Keira and Craig in it, I'll have to sooner or later I saw him in King Kong and felt like watching Szpilman all the time same goes for Tony Shalhoub and the worst case is probably Peter Falk (wtf is Monk/Inspector Columbo doing here, nobody's been murdered)

nice grossing, good imdb-rating, what do you want more, clearly a success and very likely a nomination for Best Animated Feature next year

Predators received mostly good critisms as well, but kinda flopped at the box office

oh and Roman Polanski is a free man (at least in Switzerland)

Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore sounds like a winner. But yeah I third the desire to see Inception.

Javier Chigurh and Raimunda Cruz got married.

Inception off to a 9.6 start at imdb, will surely go down, not as much as Shutter Island, which had a similar start, I guess. Toy Story easily staying in the Top10

Re: movie stuff

Inception's concept seems very Orwellian. Should be different. Nolan movies are always interesting to watch.

TELLING IT LIKE IT IS:
"“Every tennis lover would like, someday, to play like Federer ...But every man wants to BE Rafael Nadal. Which is different.” --PHILIPPE BOUIN, writer; also, a rare, unbiased Frenchman

Nominated for Emmy!!! It's for first time Jack Shephard gets a nomination.
Hopefully they do to Lost what they did to Sopranos and pay tribute to the series.

Inception is muuuuuuuch better than Shutter Island though( I was really disappointed by it), I don't expect it to go down that much. It's so well made, just stunning, one of the best movies I have seen in a long time.
