Re: •°o*Ye Olde Castle vol.19

Coria when playing at his best, his clay court skills are unbelievable, his drop shots , I was very sad for him for that strange lost in 2004 FO final, he should have won

Rafa! Rafa! Rafa!

Epic movies, like brokeback mountain, are seldom found in the industry or worthy for the mainstream viewer. As often as I have watched the clips of this movie, I always find something more to it. For one, the gay stuff doesn't enter the picture for me, only the dimension of the highest love I have ever witnessed in life or on film.

coria at the height of his powers was nothing short of phenominal. fluid movement and incredible consistency off both wings. i have seen some footage of his match against the clay monster from the rome masters. superb match of the highest order on clay.

so I'm not the only who thinks that!

however when we talk about 2004, we would say that Gaudio has had a better year than Coria, it's a subtle difference.

I read some interesting discussion on who has had the better year between Murray and Del Potro, I think any objective person would say Del Potro has had the better year, a GS is worth much more than any amount of MS titles you can accumulate in one year.

however I don't agree with Nat about the Coria/Gaudio example, I think any knowledgable tennis fan would remember Coria as the better player of the two despite having not won a GS like Gaudio, he just didn't have the balls when it mattered.

i will have to give the d-pot/murray matter some thought. d-pot did show some consistency by doing well at roland garros and then finally defeating one of the greatest ever to play on hard courts.

as for coria vs gaudio final at roland garros, i never saw that match. i will have to read a little about it. those who saw it can shed more light on it and please do. i would like to hear more about it. there has to be a coria side of the story as well? did he tire mentally or was he suffering from some ailment that he did not want his adversary to know about.

a warrior in battle will not reveal his injuries to those he is about to face unless they are quite obvious.

just making it to the final of the most difficult slam is an accomplishment in itself. how many players can make that claim?

nope I meant $8,000,000.00, I'm dead serious!! check this out:

Maybach Exelero - 8 Million Dollar Toy Review
Maybach Exelero is a an $8 million dollar toy for big kids with deep pockets.

The Exelero design was a result of competition among students at the Pforzheim Polytechnic Department of Transport Design. Fredrik Burchhardt won the competition and his design was accepted by Maybach for the remake of Exelero.

Maybach Exelero Specifications
» Weight: 2.66 tonnes
» Engine: V12 twin turbo, 700hp, 738lb ft torque, 5890mm long, 2140mm wide and 1390mm high
» 0-60 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds
» Top Reached Speed: 218.38mph (351 km/h)
» Cost: $8,000,000
source: www.exelerocar.com

Us men, never grow up. Our taste in women grows with age and our toys only get bigger and more expensive. In the heart we are still little boys who once teased girls and played toy soldiers. Classmates were replaced by exotic women to be teased even more, and toy soldiers were replaced by expensive toys, some of which cost $8 million a piece.

Best $8 Million Marketing Dollars Ever Spent
There are no plans to produce more Exeleros, making it the only one of its kind.

The best form of marketing is word of mouth marketing. Viral marketing - the “buzz” of the latest years - relies on word of mouth to spread the message across the community from early adopters, to the masses. Apple, PS3, Halo (Xbox360) relied on viral elements of their products (fueled by more advertising) to spread their messages across people’s minds. Google - the largest search engine - did not advertise, yet it’s brand spread across through the word of mouth making it dominant.

I believe Exelero was an attempt to:

1.Set ULTRA luxurious and lavish image for Maybach brand
2.Spread that image naturally throughout communities.

Though the production of the car cost $8,000,000, one can look at the investment as a marketing move more than anything else. It sent the message to luxury car lovers - Maybach is the brand that has the power of Ferrari and luxury of Rolls Roys.

dude that blows my mind. never in a million years i would have thought that a car could be that expensive.

simply unbelievable. i guess if some indian buffoon or a sucker can live in a house that cost $140 mil somewhere in london then surely there will a few suckers around who would go for this car.

i call that magnificent decadence.

amazing shit general.
