That's not 'pretty slow' it's more on the fast side than the slow side .

I wish I had the motivation to run for that long. Do you run outside or on a treadmill?
Treadmill I like my comforts when I run - temperature, TV (usually tennis!). I tend to only run outside when I race.

Edit: When I first started running, I built it up slowly, started with run/walk, then onto running, gradually building up the distance.

I always compare myself to professional distance runners. I'm twice as slow as them

Not such a bad idea watching tennis while on a treadmill

Maybe in a few you'll be as fast as them then?

My treadmill is too loud so I can't watch anything on TV without having it on FULL volume.

Do you feel a happier person after exercise? Is it true that it helps cure depression?

I tape whatever tennis is on TV, and stack it by the treadmill if I don't have time to watch it the week it is on. I like it, because it doesn't limit the time you run for like watching a TV show on DVD would, and it's also easy to jump in and out of, whenever I finish running.

I'll never come close to running as fast as the professionals. I do need to work out a better training regime, though, as I want to improve my pace.

Wow, that is loud. I have the TV louder than normal, but not excessive.

More often than not I feel better after I run. Exercise releases endorphins, which is what makes you happy, so it doesn't cure depression as such, but can make you feel better. Only time this isn't the case, is if I have a "bad" run, where I don't think I've accomplished what I'm capable of.

You have pretty high standards then Catherine. :] My goals are usually not that detailed but it's always good to have something to aim for I guess.

Re: o*Ye Olde Castle vol.19

OK I decided to go to two days in Halle. Which ones? I thought about one of the last sixteen (many matches, cheap) and either quarters, semis or final (quality).

Thoughts?
