You need a Haas like player, with more speed, to give Federer a hard time on grass, now that Nadal is not playing.
But these players have to go for there shots, which is easy to say, but hard to do.
bottom line is this: they just about all serve fairly big on grass.
we had the fewest breaks of serve there in 2008 since 1991. this is right. this is not a mistake.
so basically in order to win, you have to break. even in a tiebreaker, you need a mini break.
borg, to this day, attributes his 5 titles at wimby to his improved return of serve.
you simply must be able to break or you are not going to win. this is why guys like Murray have and Djokovic have had some success against Fed on quicker courts. they were able take care of their own serve and in addition to that, they were able to break here and there.
i believe that Murray now has the best return of serve in the game on quicker courts. he could challenge Fed but he has to get to the final first or its just not happening for him obviously.
