Thats really great to see.
S.W and co deserve all the success they get.
- well it's really getting funny now, even interviews published in the free papers you get in public transport over here - which usually only pay attention to the 'trendies'.
Rather strange to see the faces of the four blokes pictured in such 'papers' after more than FIFTEEN YEARS of ZERO ATTENTION in the mainstream press.
Better late-than-never eh?
Very much deserved, and a great reward for Mr. S.W.'s relentless endurance and belief in himself.
Btw ive really been hammering there latest the past week or so and i know it's a big call but i think this album may be the best effort they have put out yet. A friend of mine who i work with who has also known of the band for awhile is loving the album too and thinks it's the best he's heard so im not the only one. Of course it's gotta stand the test of time but i would say for sure it's the best thing since Stupid Dream/Signify (there 2 best works imo)
- The reactions and reviews on The Incident
on ProgArchives are mixed so far - people either regard it as a masterpiece of art, or as a major failure. (fortunately the former are in the majority).
I personally think that's a good thing - genuine masterpieces always have some 'controversy' around them, as is still the case with Stupid Dream as well (some folks still think that album is too 'poppy' :retard: - a clear sign of 'not getting it', imho).
Two years ago, when PT released FOABP, there were these kind of reviews as well, and I well remember The Master himself
joining in on the discussions on the forum. I doubt he will do so again (alas, it was fun!), I guess he'll just 'sit back and laugh' this time.
