Re: Bonnie the Cat's, formerly know as Stupid Dream - PROG ROCK thread!

And this one is just KILLING ME:

Hindsight -

"Intangible. Eternal. Without beginning nor end. The nameless, formless energy that permeates all living things. That sweeps through nature like a ripple in an ocean, sending cascades of timeless wonder through the air, on the song of a bird, the freshness of the morning air.
A clear calling for our inner nature to awaken beyond our every day lives, and fears.

Love is timeless, love is purity. It is the lightless light, the rays of the sunrise dancing on the surface of the sea. Love is you, and love is me. It is the deepest knowing, the serenity of being, the laughter of the earth, the limitless breath of the wind, the wonder of potential, the power of thought, the gift of life, the highest vibration, the most profound awareness... the knower. Life. Love. Infinite. within you. Now. Always.

For it is in love's gentle embrace that we come to know the space between us. A feeling deep within that not all is what it seems. that we bear witness to a magic as deep our own, to a summernight horizon that whispers "welcome" to your soul. And -

in those fleeting, trembling moments that we share between the worlds, it is enough for us to know that in each other we must care, for alive and not alone are we the children of the world, here to witness time and the unfolding miracle of the soul.

There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer. There is no disease that enough love cannot heal, No door that enough love will not open, No gulf that enough love will not bridge, and no war that enough love will not throw down.
It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble, how hopeless the outcome, how muddled the tangle, how great the mistake.
A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all. And if you could love enough, you would be the happiest and most powerful person in the world."

Mr. Daniel Cavanagh -

"It's getting colder, I'm getting colder, older, it's getting colder...

Am I still here? As one, with The Fear?
Am I still alive? I'm still f*cking ... Here...!"

The lovely Polish band RIVERSIDE.

Their fantastic song In Two Minds.

Another day of talking,
And I'm in two minds.

I think I have to tell you,
I finally realised.

I know you'll never really get inside of me
But I don't mean to hurt you
Just let me disappear

We used to like it
Used to be.
In the sunset time of our dream.
For all these things, we cannot change -
We cannot be,
We cannot stay!

But if you lose your faith,
Know that I am still your friend!
And if the sky falls down,
Know that I will still support you!

What a lovely song. What a fantastic singer, Mr. Mariusz Duda!

"It's getting colder, I'm getting colder, older, it's getting colder...

Am I still here? As one, with The Fear?
Am I still alive? I'm still f*cking ... Here...!"

I've never even heard of the bloke, but WOW, that sounds good.
Very spacey stuff, sounds like Hawkwind-on-synths, dark & brooding. Me likes! Nice guitarwork, too. Did he make this on his own, or with a band backing him up?

French prog!
Heldon was his band during the 70's (he was the guitarrist and the main composer).
Some of his material sound a bit like the Eno/Fripp collaborations

Re: Bonnie the Cat's, formerly know as Stupid Dream - PROG ROCK thread!

And this one, just *chilling my bones*...

Inside the vehicle the cold is extreme,
Smoke in my throat, kicks me out of my dream -
I try to relax but its warmer outside,
I fail to connect, it's a tragic divide -

This has become a full time career,
To die young would take only 21 years.
Gun down a school, or blow up a car
The media circus will make you a star.

Dark Matter, flowing out on to a tape,
Is only as loud as the silence it breaks -
Most things decay in a matter of days -
The product is sold, the memory fades...

Crushed like a rose,
In the river flow -
I am, I know ...

What a song. So beautiful, so frightning.
Dark Matter - indeed.

"It's getting colder, I'm getting colder, older, it's getting colder...

Am I still here? As one, with The Fear?
Am I still alive? I'm still f*cking ... Here...!"

For ye Spacey progger tripsters, I offer you... Jupiter Island:

Are you asking me who's responsible for that Space Invader-trip?
I have to laugh. "Everyone's happy, noone's gay", eh?

"Come on let's fly to Jupiter Island, now... just take my hand, and we'll fly..." Space Invaders...
